explanantion: a lot of people whose work is in front of the screen are paging the web instead of doing work!
I don't think that Android will ever replace windows in the desktop segment
image says that android is used in 3rd world countries and windows in developed countries
android fanatic, 04 Apr 2017Keep dreaming. Android is good for media consumption only but not serious work. Someone replied the same way you did in 2012 when I said I like to use my phone as my go to internet device.
Can someone point me to a country on the chart that primarily uses iOS (grey color)?
Android is not secure and can easily hacked unlike windows is very secure 🔐
AnonD-656673, 04 Apr 2017Now, what Android need is a proper desktop compatible UI and windows will die for good.Keep dreaming. Android is good for media consumption only but not serious work.
One thing I don't understand. When we download something on Android say for example opera browser, it asks for multiple permissions including files and storage. While on Windows when we download and install opera browser, it doesn't ask for permissions. So does it mean that we people are easy to get spied on Android?
Anonymous, 04 Apr 2017Nah it will displace it. First it was casual use (they didn't believe me then). Pro use follow... moreEverything is shrinking in size.
While in the mobile side, phones are getting more and more powerful, hitting same processing power as PC.
While in the PC side, pc are getting smaller and smaller, things like intel NUC, moving to external GPU enclosure, thunderbolt 3 etc etc, so you can game at home, and work outside with a tablet.
Soon the both worlds will converge.. then BOOM, one will die, the other will carry on.
Android will die if they do not come out with a desktop UI.
Windows will die if they do not attract enough App makers.
But.. if both Google and Microsoft did nothing.. then there could a chance both will survive.
You guys downloaded opera or chrome using what? Ms internet explorer rite? Lol
Anonymous, 04 Apr 2017Opera is better for pc and android. You are cent percent TRUE.
Now, Opera in PC has huge features & runs blazingly fast...!

It will become more obvious once ARM-based windows laptops debut, and when the concept ARM-based server processor goes into production.
It had to happen. It was in the pipeline. And it will keep growing always more.
paco2x, 04 Apr 2017I can't play GTA V or Dishonored 2 on Android (Streaming don't count) most games on PC are hea... moreNah it will displace it. First it was casual use (they didn't believe me then). Pro use follows.
Nobody wants to run his software on old x86 processors and fewer still in the future.
it's funny because I call it again and you don't believe me. By 2025 you'd remember me. You'd remember that a random dude on the net called it. X86 is dying haha.
Microsoft deserved a punch in the face for their buggy, unstable and resource hungry Windows 10! :)
