WTF! Why the hell are they adding a 3000mah battery in their flagship phone?!
The 3T had 3400mah battery and that had a 1080P screen!! Only achieved 83h endurance rating.
The OP5 shouldnt have anything smaller than 4000mah because they went QHD this time around... which is another dumb move.
"Additionally, the OnePlus 5 might also feature slim design, one thatÂ’s just 7mm thick. This, in turn, would reduce battery size to 3,000 mAh to keep the profile down."
Wake me up once this isn't true.... or when 1+ gets serious..... or eff it let's all wait for the 5T instead this is just comical really.
Curved screens and slimmer bodies I doubt are what the oneplus customer base wants.
I hope they stay unique instead of going for trends.
I find it unbelievable that any OEM introducing a new flagship in 2017 with a QHD screen can put in a pathetic 3000 mAh battery. A total deal breaker for me.
2u2, 11 Apr 2017 OnePlus 5 is still on rumors and the others already released what an embarrassing! Nobody is released. Only G6 which is 2016 spec.
Even S8 would by hybrid (laf 2016, half 2017 spec)
New OnePlus would be true flagship and *crash* those two like last year.

If you're considering this no added performance, even though it was tested on a qualcomm's generic test device rather than on a real consumer's product like a S8 or a S8+, then you have some serious complex or awareness issues pal!!

OP has MUCH better (official) software support, un... moreMy friend, it is clear that you didn't understand the exact meaning of my message/comment. First of all who said that specs on paper are everything? 100% not me. And generally speaking you are right, because you just said what I really said, but paraphrase it in different words. The bottom line is that finally the point is subjective, between those who prefer more polished software, etc, than the OnePlus is better. But for all those who are media enthusiasts, that listen to music, etc, & watch YouTube, etc, on their phones. Plus the versatility of having an SD Card slot, for all those the ZTE Axon 7 is much better and more useful, and so bang for their bucks. Obviously the best thing is to have them both, hopefully it will happen this year. But currently to choose only one of them, it is based on what was mentioned previously.
So where did the Never Settle moto go? Reduce battery capacity, move to QHD screen is the way to kill performance and screen on time, while you increase the prize once again.I guess i have to settle with Oneplus 3T...
If the battery is smaller than at least 4000 mAh (or 4500)... to hell with it, I'm going to the Xiaomi camp.
This is stupid, a super-powerful chipset with an (unnecessarily) super-highres screen with bucketloads of RAM and storage and it's all powered by an AAA battery. I don't care about the fast charging, I want a phone that will last a day and a half at least.
Huawei can make it - why can't anyone else?
Anonymous, 11 Apr 2017please no curved edge screen ... it is stupid to look at lamp reflections on the display, when... moreIt is the evolution of phones. Curved screens that are horrible to use and impossible to protect with silicone covers. Great screen so we see the battery die in high resolution. And smaller batteries so the phones will be slimmer. The phone world is moving back to the battery briefcase phones, bc they phones die faster than anything.
these edge screens are so much of a pain in thass on mobiles my s7 edge drives me absolutely insane always changes my sms text if hold it too tight because catch the screen and phone thinks u want to use edge functions... if dont hold tight enough damn things slides out hand like a bar soap lol... please mobile makers no more edge curved screens they are really not much use anyway lol get rid and find a diff bit of innovation on a screen lol
please no curved edge screen ... it is stupid to look at lamp reflections on the display, when i am not even under a lamp
Anonymous, 11 Apr 2017I hardly ever go below 5h screen-on-time with OP3 and its 3000mAh battery ... More than enough... moreMany people don't have that "somewhere" to plug it in for a plausible amount of time.
Pretty much why the death of removable batts cut the dream of mobile computing short (there was once a day that you could have a "day phone", 12h of screen time simply through carrying a spare)
