This is bullshit. Sharp will always be Japanese, regardless of ownership.
Ba.. ba...Blacksheep, 19 Apr 2017No new AI please, cause to many proprietary AI will result in half baked and controversial techYep, just let Samsung alone to make their own ones. Androids are Androids after all, and they get their features mostly from Google
No means of hate, but I'm predicting that Bixby will end up a mess just like S Voice, judging by how it performs yet
Nice to know that Sharp is still alive in the smartphone business. This phone seems good, it has nice specs to go with it too. Maybe design-wise they could have improved it a bit.
Great phone with amazing specs, it just all depends on their pricing, price it too high and people will start comparing it with samsung, and the fact that samsung have gotten rid of bezels that will be a clear winning point. Price it too low and small money back, right price and bang its great
Mobilemaster, 19 Apr 2017Man, I am dissapointed! I was a Sharp fan, I still respect them, but come on! This looks like ... moreSHARP has been sold to taiwanese foxxcon owner. basically china government tsinghua group
Unfortunately, Sharp has already been sold to Taiwan, it is no longer a Japanese manufacturer.
Anonymous, 19 Apr 2017I think Sony have google assistant and they don't need new AI unless google remove itNo new AI please, cause to many proprietary AI will result in half baked and controversial tech
Well, it sounds respectable, with: QHD, HDR 10, 4GB RAM, 22.6MP main, 16MP front, and the SD835. Well, it seems good, right
It's funny. 3 years ago they were the ones that started the whole bezeless thing, and nowadays they have some of the thickest bezels out there...
Mobilemaster, 19 Apr 2017You can buy any Japanese smart phone, just go to kyoex and you will see I am right.is kyoex do worldwide shipping ?

-NEOPHYTE-, 19 Apr 20171. Search: "Sharp Corner R" 2. EnjoyI remember this. I was expecting Corner R but Aquos R looks like any normal phone. So sad. Sharp could had gain attention if they really did it.
Again with the ugly off center buttons, do people not realise it doesnt look nice?
Bbin, 19 Apr 2017Luckily, for Japanese market only..!You can buy any Japanese smart phone, just go to kyoex and you will see I am right.
Man, I am dissapointed! I was a Sharp fan, I still respect them, but come on! This looks like a Samsung from the front! Where is the creativity? And this is bigger than the predecessor, yet the screen size is the same.
Emopa is nothing "new", unless this is a new version. They have had Emopa in Aquos phones for the last few years.
Sony and Sharp are neighborhood brands that actually work together as one
Samsung and LG are neighborhood brands that heavily competes each other. Ask why LG wasn't able to pick the SD835 for the LG G6
Man, I didn't see this coming, Sharp knows how to launch a ninja phone, without rumours. Sharp Aquos R looks more like a demo phone to showcase their display technology than an mainstream phone, like Sharp Aquos Crystal, but I miss that bezelless design(3 years before G6 or S8).
