Finally,Xiaomi you've done it.Thing looks beautiful, never mind that 18k bling stuff.Only one question Xiaomi; How big discount I'll get if I buy half of dozen of these beauties? One of each colour..that is..:))cheers

Open system apps in both difference wouldn't even be noticeable let alone apparent. Upload a 4k video on gdrive and see speeds and difference would be way too high
Facepalm, 19 Apr 2017Suuuuure, blame Android, not the manufacturer. -facepalm-Blame the manufacturer for what? For inventing it?
It's none of Sony's business that Google chose to make their OS behind theirs in terms of feafures
No headphone jack is pretty much a deal breaker for me. I was so excited to purchase this phone too. I guess you can use an adapter of some sort but that just seems like more trouble than it's worth. I'll just stick with my beat up LG4 for now. Bummer. I guess I could get a Mi 5...
It's a really great phone but no 3.5 jack no deal. Somebody should tell xiaomi that Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. I don't see any real reason to omit the audio Jack other than blindly copying the others in saving a little of space .

I don't blame the YouTubers, they're as much as a fanboi as you're. Mostly I don't see any 4k video uploading to drive on any "speed tests", because iphones don't win that. Games like asphalt 8 are properly optimised for metal (API for iOS ONLY), and not optimised for Vulcan or opengl 3.1, Facebook devs prefers iOS, so any app from them opens faster.
ankit..., 19 Apr 2017Indian price will be $30-40 more then chinese pricei dont think so. base price will be 24999rs for 6GB RAM and 64GB memory
and 27999rs or 28499rs for 6GB RAM 128GB memory
NewNicknameAgain, 19 Apr 2017LDAC? Wow, even the Xperia X has it already. Android is late once againSuuuuure, blame Android, not the manufacturer. -facepalm-
"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.". Great phone but
The lack of 3.5 jack turned me off. apple ruined a really
beautiful phone for me.
I was planning to change from my mi5 to this and happy with the feature until it said no 3.5mmjack. Darnn. Why do they remove it? I cant use my earphone anymore then? Sigh. I think i go to huawei then
Brandnn, 19 Apr 2017Damnn..huge bezzel on top n bottom side is not nice... Really uninspiring design.Guess what? Same story with Apple, HTC and Sony devices, too! Uninspiring and ugly.

In Benchmarks iphones win by a little, in actual use though they *destroy* android. In app launch times they're far faster, they never have to reload apps (androids push background apps outside the memory pool all the time). In fact benchmarks are their *weak* point.
iphone win in:
Benchmarks (not by much, apart from the single core where they dominate)
App lauch times (again not by a lot, but those times add up)
RAM retention (they *dominate* there as iphones rarely reload anything , making the whole experience far more fluid)
Games (no people don't just play light games, some of the best selling games are very taxing to the GPU).
So no matter what kind of user are you, iphones will be faster. That's just a fact, get over it.
I'm not even saying that iphones are better phones, I'm a xiaomi fanboy, because I get the customizability of android, with a speed that nears iphone's (but still it's lower) , for pennies. I *love* that, it's a win-win situation. What I'm saying is that if androids want to be performance champs they have to try harder, no two ways about it, you can't just claim to be faster, you have to be it.

The only thing iPhones are faster in, is opening games. But a vast majority of people don't play games, or only play light games. And fast Androids (e.g. S7 Exynos, Mate 9, Pixel), beat iPhones in performance tests in pretty much everything else. And as for benchmarks, they're worthless. So conclusion is that most users will Android faster, or will find nor difference.
