AnonD-4379, 30 Mar 2011Think of EVERYTHING you want in a phone, multiply it by 100 and that's the Desire HD :-Dhow about camera and usbtg?
will HTC.Desire(bravo) will also get 2.3?
Anonymous, 30 Mar 2011HTC actually supports it's phones for more than 6 months, you know. The normal Desire is gett... moreany source on "Desire 1 is getting Gingerbread as well"?
Biggest Plus: The screen quality. Stability, "HTC", sound and build quality(total aluminium except for 3 covers - Dual LEDs, battery, SIM), processing power, Graphics power, being slim, After S series- the best phone, RAM, Internal memory.
good to hear that Desire HD is going to have Gingerbread, can't wait to get this update, anyone know the difference after the update from 2.2 to 2.3?
Moldo88, 29 Mar 2011I wonder if the Motorola Defy update also brings Flash support to the browser...I know that Fr... more@Moldo88 Defy got support for flash in 2.2 with opera mobile i am not sure for stock browser as i dont use it !
hope motorola confirms it too!
Big deal, 30 Mar 2011Shouldn't all smartphones have OS updates for at least 5 years since initial release? We don't... moreYou are absolutely right
Oh Defy with Froyo is Great. The phone which is life proof.!!!!!!!!!!!
Desire hd pros - great screen size and clarity, touch screen v responsive, menus better than competitors, amazing download speeds, quick processor, great video camera.
Cons - excessive use drains battery quickly, no camera button(poor single shots)
Big deal, 30 Mar 2011Shouldn't all smartphones have OS updates for at least 5 years since initial release? We don't... moreHTC is already the best in providing updates. They don't need to be even better, they needs moneys from ppl buying new phonez to get new software.
I'm really hoping for Ice Cream, though...
Cod3rror, 30 Mar 20112.3 will probably be the last one for Desire HD and Galaxy S.HTC actually supports it's phones for more than 6 months, you know.
The normal Desire is getting Gingerbread aswell (2nd update now) and will get more.
The only reason why Samsung decided to update their Galaxy S is because they still plan on selling the 9003 model.
Big deal, 30 Mar 2011Shouldn't all smartphones have OS updates for at least 5 years since initial release? We don't... moreHave you tried Froyo in Hero. It's definitely better than Cupcake Hero used to come with. But it's sluggish, not to mention on HTC Magic. FroYo has a JIT that it's a big improvement but frankly you need a good processor. (600Mhz are on the limit a realistic one would be 1 Ghz to be as fast as FroYo meant to be). Gingerbread will come with a fenomeal HTC Sense UI update. you need good phones to play at. Desires and all other HTC Phones are good but they need to have enough processor and RAM to handle with those things. The Industry just can't imagine how new features could be now from two years. I used to change my cell non smartphone every two years. Why do you want to keep a smartphone that much of time... even a computer become obsolete earlier.
Finally update for DHD!
