Anonymous, 23 Apr 2017Almost same size of s7 edge, not compact.. That's compact still, but I'm sure most people will disagree with me. The bigger model has a proper screen size and it's not even that big after all. Still I refuse to buy a Samsung, already owned one in the past and try not to get stuck with one brand. :)
I would probably take the smaller one, don't like the smaller battery though. After using the S7 edge for some time now, I love it's looks and design, but the screen/size is a little bit awkward to use/hold one handed with my not-so-large hands. So yeah, my next phone (after many years I hope) could be a little bit smaller, if anyone makes them then anymore. ;)
I wouldn't go for either device. The bezelless/curved edges only make the phone more awkward to hold and same goes for that offcenter fingerprint scanner.
And even if I'd have to choose between these devices, I wouldn't want either. I mean, if you're going to design a phone in this way, you want the bigger screen with bigger battery, but the S8+ is too expensive (too much to spend on a device you'll wreck in a year or two whilst using 10% of its potential).
I own the Samsung Galaxy S8 but I'm confilcted about returning it for the Samsung Galaxy S8+ for the bigger battery

It may lag and may create more problems now so you I think you should've returned it and waited for S8. Let's talk about Samsung flagship phones since they changed everything with the Galaxy S6 edge. I know every phone will lag after two years especially if it's as feature loaded as Note 3,S4 used to be. But my S6 edge doesn't lag. I still use it over iphone 7 and still love it so much. It really doesn't lag anywhere at 90% storage full. People will have to stop fake rumors, my iPhone 7 is slower and get hot in uploading a 10 min video on drive. My S6 edge do it easily. All the power of iphone is about opening apps some 0.05 seconds faster tho overall usability is still slower due to lack of quick shortcuts for settings. You need to find and hit the settings apps for even small thinngs. It's not about personal preference, iphone is really worse in front of a fully loaded galaxy phone. For an iPhone user, using a galaxy S8 will be a heavenly experience.
How do I vote NONE? I don't want a phone with a screen aspect ratio that's too tall and a fingerprint sensor in the worst place possible.

Samsung needs to fix their Lag and I'm no Apple fan, but I've played with other peoples old iPhones that function much more smoothly than any Samsung phone I've ever owed or played with.
As i have the S7 edge, i just cant go back to 3000mah, i m sure that i will need two charges per day and i am done with that!
If you play games and watch videos you will suffer from the small S8, because the lateral black bars make it look like a 5incher, whilst the S8+ feels like a 5.5er. Esp bad if you play strategy games like boom beach.
So S8+ it is for me...
If Samsung can reboot the Nexus S or Galaxy Nexus design with removable battery and stock Android, then they can have my money again.
I tried out both at a Samsung store and decided on the 8+. I initially thought the screen size would make the phone too big but the slim bezels reduce the overall size and makes it comfortable to hold. Bought the phone yesterday and loving it so far. A big improvement on my old S6.

My S6 edge never lag it performs better than my iPhone 7 (which I bought just because of the Note 7 fiasco and regretted) in video uploading, editing and multitasking. S8 really beats Apple in everything. It's the first time I'll change smartphone in such a short time because I can't stand iphone 7 anymore. Well you aren't paid by anyone but we know haters like you, if one will ask you which one is better among 2012 LG entry level Android and Samsung galaxy S8, you'll still say 2012 LG is better. You are from people who say anything but you..... To successful things.
I'm in love with my Galaxy S8, it's the best thing one can have.
Already got the 8+ and loving it so you can guess what i voted for lol.
Got the S8+ from the 5.1" S6 flat. Scared at first, but now totally regrets. Especially the battery life it's getting.
