AnonD-462236, 03 May 2017Flopped OSNot even close...
Over half steam users have Windows 10, I would not say that as a "flop".
Especially when comparing to Vista and Windows 8 back when they was "current" OS's.
Back when I was a student we used pirated programmes because students don't have money. How is this aimed at students exactly?
AnonD-666525, 03 May 2017Students dont have that much money to buy this.Laptops with W10S start from $189, that's much less than a midrange smartphone.
Flopped OS
Another failed OS which will die with its app store. Microsoft tries to trick us into reviving its app store but too late, people love Android and iOS.
Microsoft still didn't give up on RT?
This basically just the RT version of Windows 10.

Windows 10 S-tarter?
$190 for a Windows that cannot install regular exe file? new Win RT?
Anonymous, 03 May 2017You can use win32 apps. They just need to be repackaged to the store and downloaded from there... moreIf repackaging was a easy and inexpensive solution, you'd think most software would be on the store. All I find there is Office Mobile, Fresh Paint, Asphalt 8 Airborne and Forza Freemium.
Besides, sometimes it's just not convenient. Our software updates are roughly tested buy our IT department (and guess what? We just got IE11 and Firefox 43.2!) and since we have many hardware variations, mostly outdated Core 2 chips (we are slowly migrating over i5... 550) we can ensure maximum compatibility and less downtime due to bugs.

as far i remember i only use windows store to download asphalt 8..other than that just a bunch of crappy apps..
Students dont have that much money to buy this.

I'm ALL for minimalistic and simplified Windows but only store apps? Are you serious? That cripples an amazing product concept.
AnonD-39937, 02 May 2017If you talk about Chrome OS before Google Play Store, Windows 10 S would look promising... But... moreSorry, but people that came across Chrome OS (a.k.a.
