Microsoft Edge is indeed a very solid browser. In fact I like to share that since I had it. I never use other browsers ever since. But for me to get stuck with Bing as a defualt search engine that is not right at all Google still the best as far as search engiones are concerned

It's not like you don't pay for a pro license when buying a laptop, it's all included.

I will only ever consider S if there's a tool to circumvent this restriction, but I usually purchase durable devices like ThinkPads so they have Win10 Pro included.

I have heard bing is much worse internationally than in Canada/US. I'm surprised there's no tool that lets you change the default search provider for the bar.

Very mature for a two years old infant. That's not the convenient solution and I own Windows 10 and no ChromeOS.
AnonD-558092, 03 May 2017Read the article closely. You CAN'T change Bing in Edge. You gotta use it even if you hate it.Use your brain fanboy. Unless they block "Google.com" you can use whatever search engine you bloody well like
Lagdroid fanboys are so full of crap. I've used Edge on my 11yo Core 2 Duo and it hasn't crashed or frozen once. Chrome and Opera on the other hand, that's a different story.
Who on earth at Microsoft thought this Windows S is remotely close to being a good idea? It's like, take literally everything good out of Windows and make a product without it.
Literally a rehash of Windows RT. Which only a handful of PCs ended up using, due to the fact you couldnt install anything on it. It failed. This will fail. Good job MS.
I find that Edge is a pretty good browser. My annoyances with it mostly stem from the fact that they've simplified it so much that some useful features are missing (eg. being able to see speed of your downloads).
I think that getting used to Bing would take some effort though.
Anonymous, 04 May 2017I would have used the Edge browser if they had ad-block but they have to be awkward like that. You have been able to install Adblock on Edge as well as other extensions since 2016!
Have you even used the browser?

edge is crap, it usually crashes, better than IE but still not practical. Microsoft as always sux at making a decent browser.
I agree with most here. Edge is a pretty decent browser. Bing is not so great for a search engine though. I'll give MS a tip: make your products good enough and you wouldn't have to force them on us.
I tried using edge recently and it actually froze and there was no way for me to close the window until I restarted my PC. BLECH
Anonymous, 04 May 2017I would have used the Edge browser if they had ad-block but they have to be awkward like that.yeh they have just download from Windows Store

It's like they hijacked the browser and search engine. It's idiocy. Give me Google search, not rusty bling search engine.
