Apple: "Wireless is the futur... moreApple say future is wireless.
The dongle has nothing to do with the future. Its just to help those stuck in the past.
ye , this is a deal breaker for me , keep digging HTC , keep digging...

Apple: "Wireless is the future"
*gives us free WIRED 3.5MM JACK DONGLE*
Me: "Wow, this is the future! This *WIRED* dongle is very futuristic!"
.....And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how HTC shot themselves in the foot.
AnonD-150040, 04 May 2017No one cares HTC. Even HTC run iOS in their phones, no one cares.iOS on HTC phones. Please do tell us more, this sounds interesting!
[deleted post]That is not what was meant by that comment, you have misunderstood
Instead of bringing back the useless headphone jack (Which can be used for audio only..). Why not have 2 usb-c port? then a single port to rule them all!
But of course that would be a big engineering feat!.. USB 3.0 interferes with Wifi.. having 2 connecting would diminish wifi connectivity by tons..
people nowadays using technology for simplicity, and now getting confused for jack audio adaptor.
sometimes i used bluetooth audio adapter, but sound quality not as good as i'm using direct 3.5mm jack.
Someone who listens music from the phone and charges the phone at the same time (doing this almost every evening) will not get any benefit from any kind of adapter. 3.5mm is necessary.
Another one bites the dust, I wonder how long it will be before Samsung do this to their devices.
Do more people dunk their phones in water or do more people plug earphones into them to listen to music?
I wonder how long is going to be before a dodgy shipment of batteries start burning people's ears or what ever part of the body the battery rests on.
Anonymous, 04 May 2017Since they moved the 3.5mm headphone Jack, I heard some really dumb comments on this forum. ... moreWhat makes you say that type C will be any better when its the DAC and amps are the ones that actually drive the music experience? It will just make things more difficult when you need to charge and want to listen to music at the same time. Bluetooth headsets are simply more expensive than their wired counterparts.
Anonymous, 04 May 2017Since they moved the 3.5mm headphone Jack, I heard some really dumb comments on this forum. ... moreThe problem is there is not enough usb c headphones in the market right now. 3.5mm is still the popular choice. Removing headphone jack right now is a dumb idea.

... moreSaying other comments are dumb, also saying 3.5 mm jack is 140 year old. Good argument indeed.
BTW, how could USB c headphones could be better than 3.5 mm when both uses the same tech?
But how could you charge your phone and listen to music at the same time? You didn't answer that.
Anonymous, 04 May 2017Goodbye htc. Android users are not sheep. We should have freedom of choice. Goodbye htc. goodbye, you're not the only consumer in the market. goodbye.
Since they moved the 3.5mm headphone Jack, I heard some really dumb comments on this forum.
Type C is way better quality than a 140 year old 3.5mm I know because I own a pair.
Then there is the lain argument of, how do I charge my phone and listen to music.
Get a phone a phone with a good battery life. HTC and Motorola are ahead of the competition and Google will be next, but you didn't hear it from me.
HTC does not have the massive user support like Apple does to be able to pull off that no headphone jack thing. But who knows.
I guess I just don't get it what's with the headphone jack why they keep removing it. Gosh.
