Oneplus decision makers are real phone users and enthusiasts judging by the specs and software of their phones. They messed up with the Oneplus 2 though since they were trying to be greedy on that one. They got back on track with the 3.
One plus has to work on the looks in case it's planning to keep the flagship killer tag line 😉..
Aspros, 05 May 2017One more S8 competitor bites the dust...
It could have advantage in performance if it had 108... moreYeah I agree completely. 1080p, especially AMOLED 1080p, has the perfect balance between display and battery life imo. 1440p IS a gimmick - most people don't have eye sight trained enough to tell the difference between FullHD and 2K and even if they could, there's hardly a difference in quality. The only thing 2K screens are good for is to view 2K content (not such a popular thing) or to use VR extensively (also not such a popular thing).
I personally am fine with the camera quality because let's be honest - this phone is meant to crush others in performance, not take incredible pictures. With a sub $500 tag, I also don't really expect it to shine in terms of camera quality.
Audio quality is an issue though, as will be vibration if they continue to use the same components as 3T.
With the numbering I have to disagree with you. The reason it's called OnePlus 5 and not 4 is because, believe it or not, 4 is an unlucky number in China :-P.
Zenodroid, 05 May 2017Samsung made a 7" phone just for the types of you. If you gorilla's can't use a phone, then bu... moreI didn't even say I couldn't use a smaller phone - obviously I can, but bigger screen just makes typing far more comfortable. 7" is going too big even for me - I've tried some 7-inch tablet years ago, wasn't sold. Within reasonable limits, Mi Mix's 6.44" in that small size of a regular ~5.5" would be the best combination for me. But that phone itself isn't worth buying, even though it's a tempting product.
Ritzie, 05 May 2017OnePlus 5T??#probablyComingInTwoThousandAndEighteenOrTwoThousandAndNineteen
htc 11 coming or this one is my next phone from mi huawei mate 9,
never a samsung with no warranty, no updates, screen replacements of 350 dollar shit, lagg for ever sammy
Flossy420, 05 May 2017Since it's amoled, you can notice a difference in sharpness between 1080p and 2k.
Remember ho... moreyou are all worried about megapixels, fix up man.
this uses a updated sensor from oneplus 3
I have OP3 and I am happy about OnePlus 5 specs :) they are indeed number 1 company for price to quality and performance! Now i want to sell my OP3 and buy OP5 lol, but no, I won't do it. OP3 is still a very good device.

Screen size alone means nothing on its own.
5.5? Really? Nope. That screen size is a thing of the past now. Increase the screen size and this will be at the top of my list.
You do realize that this phone has a higher pixel density than Galaxy S8+ :D

shaw, 05 May 2017Still 5.5. Would be great to a 6 inch variant. That's the only thing putting me off. Just need... more80 percent of people prefer to use phone around 5.0 to 5.5.. The monotony people that like to use big screen like 6 inch phone are mostly girl as they will compared picture that they take with other girl. Guys dont do that. I hardly see any guy use 6 inch phone. They have a main phone, and a tab
Anonymous, 05 May 2017So a downgrade in performance (1080p phones perform better) for basically the same sharpness (... moreMany people hold their phone closer than 8 inches when viewing the screen close up and obviously so for VR.
Techies888, 05 May 2017Now that's a true FLAGSHIP, sn 835 , 6gb/8gb ram, 3600mAH battery, dual cameras, decent screen... moreBut remember the galaxy s8 has bluetooth 5.0
The only phone with bluetooth 5.0 and over that it's meant to be a high end phone. It's not meant to be a high end gaming phone.
the tech nerd, 05 May 2017Dude did you mean samsung galaxy alpha when you said alpha, because it's battery life was sooo... moreMy alpha lasted 2-3 days on one charge, so I loved it. Upgraded to s6 but went straight back to alpha after 2 months. S6 had to be charged 2 times daily, with the same daily usage as on my alpha. S5 lasted longer than alpha tho. But Denmark didn't get the real s5 anyway.
