I wish they'd have a version with more color variance(white or pink/"rose gold") and a smaller screen but just as powerful. +0
One more S8 competitor bites the dust...
It could have advantage in performance if it had 1080p, but no they had to fit gimmick quad hd too...
I was secretly hoping that for once they will surprise with anything else than specs and won't be just another Chinese manufacturer that only offers vfm and that this time they will offer their own design of a small bezel flagship, but no, typically, they will do it next year, after completely copying to Samsung and LG to it and make it look as close to iPhone 8 as possible, like all the other Chinese firms... How do I know it will have pre2017 big bezels? Why the from fingerprint scanner of course...
Again no weight on improving the quality of sound or offer smth different in cameras, Apple does 12mp, then Samsung, then a hundred Chinese films and co behind them, all inferior, all horrible at night...
So one plus now is shipping a new flagship every 6 months and they are skipping numbers trying to catch-up Apple's number naming...
Now that's a true FLAGSHIP, sn 835 , 6gb/8gb ram, 3600mAH battery, dual cameras, decent screen resolution (not like stupid res on s8/s8plus), and that's for half the price of overhyped galaxy s8plus!
Anonymous, 05 May 2017So a downgrade in performance (1080p phones perform better) for basically the same sharpness (... moreSince it's amoled, you can notice a difference in sharpness between 1080p and 2k.
Remember how horrible 720p amoleds are?
they look much more dull than 720p ips so quad hd is a must
Whose innovation is this?
Google and Snapdragon?
what about OnePlus?
it's uninspring to see phone updated but no new innovation.
AnonD-368020, 05 May 2017I think this 500$ pricing is not for unlocked version. I was just gonna say! An unlocked LG G6 retails for somewhere around $700. OnePlus 5 at $449 is totally reasonable!
aronline, 05 May 2017Is SD835 a quad core SoC?No, it's an octa core SoC.
I am glad that One plus would keep the pricing same. Some credit would also go to MI6 (everything same except screen size and resolution). Waiting for its launch. Will buy it for sure.
Still 5.5. Would be great to a 6 inch variant. That's the only thing putting me off. Just need a slightly bigger screen.
Anonymous, 05 May 2017So a downgrade in performance (1080p phones perform better) for basically the same sharpness (... moreAs it's running on Android, it can be modified to use 1080p-resolution instead of the panel's native. Unless they put up the option for that built-in into the O, so you don't have to mess with editing files.
So a downgrade in performance (1080p phones perform better) for basically the same sharpness (you have to go closer than 8 inches to see difference between 1080p and 1440p ... who does that?) and a downgrade in the front facing camera department?
Yeah, those 2017 flagships seem really weird, some can't even compete with their 2016 iterations weird...
Sreen-to-body-ratio +80%, screen 5.5" 1080p, 3.6Ah, SD835, 16MP, $449,-. Shut up OP and take my money.
AnonD-667021, 05 May 2017No mention of a dual-curved edge display? Ohgodpleaseno.exe If this turns out to be true, One... moreone simply dont need edge and 18:9 to be flagship killer, there are a lot more things to consider other than retarded edge
Just keeps getting more expensive.
I can't be a "flagship killer" if it's got flagship pricing (for example, you can get the LG G6 for $500 right now).
the tech nerd, 05 May 2017Dude did you mean samsung galaxy alpha when you said alpha, because it's battery life was sooo... moremine is still fine after those years but in same time i don't use facebook which is probably why people tend to have depleted batteries in any phone quickly
