1ghz is enough, but sure that 1.2ghz is really awesome
i think this is all part of samsung strategy to be the world leader in the market.
they did that the same for galaxy tab 10.1 where the decrease the weight and thickness to compete with ipad 2
whereas i assume this 1.2ghz jump is to compete with htc pyramid/sensation which has 1.2ghz as well
this thing is too big for my taste. i bet from now to 2013 smartfone will become as big as a tablet pc.
1Ghz exynos wasn't doing well in benchmarks vs the competition so sammy duped it a bit
AnonD-3713, 07 Apr 2011The only company that can kill Symbian is Nokia itself. Hahaha, many Android phones to choose... moreAt least we can still show to our friends that it is working. Nokia? Ha, it just hangs all the time. Pls, dun even bother showing it.

[deleted post]"Actually nokia is still a winner in pricing. you can buy 2 high end nokia phone for 1 SII or iphone4. The SII is good but the price is rather too high for some people. If they can afford that money they would rather think about going to the iphone instead. y? think about when u r holding a samsung product vs an apple product? which are superior? apple indeed. in my country samsung has a bad name, their product r cheap n low in quality. Apple has the highest value in the eyes of others. you use an apple product ppl think u r fashion and great, whereas you use a samsung product even it is expensive as an apple they think u use cheap product."
Analyze what you have posted! where is the samsung plastic back are you talking about? Now it is confirmed that you belong to some TWC person!

SE missed the first salvo of dual core Androids but dual-core on mobile phones are still on its infancy. There's still plenty of time for them to catch up and it's still early on to the year. Who knows what they have on their pipeline? HTC didn't announce any dual cores too but they now have the Pyramid/Sensation coming up.
maybe this is the reason that samsung is delaying their release for this beast:)

SE and NOKIA thought that people will still buy thier "brand" not the product itself, well sorry thier brand (SE and NOKIA) is becoming a history. Ex. SE is still offering thier flagship model like Arc without front facing camera and without dual core processors. Both are backward companies among competitors. Now I believe that ARROGANCE destroys COMPETITIVENESS/IDENTITY.

Anonymous, 07 Apr 2011well said, Congratulation to NOKIA because it successfuly killed Symbian!Plus one for you. As a Nokia fanboy, I like Nokia but their slow reaction to counter the iPhone and Android is inexcusable. They are slow in developing Symbian and they missed the touch screen craze. Their touch screen devices are feature packed but the user experience is lacking. Elop is spot on when he said that Nokia still don't have anything on the table to match the iPhone's User Experience. I can say that Nokia's over confidence failed to anticipate this market disrupting touch screen craze and their efforts to counter are half-baked. Nokia's switch to WP is a sign of their lack of confidence in Symbian and its capacity to compete with Android and iOS. Nokia can flood the market with Symbian smartphones but their profit margin on this segment of the market is small and the masses are buying Android phones instead. The smartphone war has also shifted from a war of who got more features into a war of eco-systems and apps. Don't get me wrong, I still hate Samsuck for their copying ways and their designs lack originality. If I were to go over to the Android side, I'll be picking a SE Neo or Arc. I'm just waiting for Nokia to provide a solution to this purple screen defect on my N8. If they won't then I'm ditching Nokia.

Primary Phone- Samsung!!
Back up phone - Nokia... Lolz

Anonymous, 06 Apr 2011seems like no one remembers anymore normal phones And instead they like phones that look exactly the same and have stupid names instead of models.
AnonD-252, 06 Apr 2011Nokia and the Symbian-fans live in a dream-world because Android will "kill" Symbian... moreThe only company that can kill Symbian is Nokia itself.
Hahaha, many Android phones to choose? Like the couple of mid-range phones with laggy user interface, lacking couple of features, with poor LCD screens and QVGA video recording? With the price of a mid-range Android phone, you can buy a Nokia C6-01, that have a gorgeous ClearBlack AMOLED display, got 720P video-recording with special video-zoom, USB On-the-go, free life-time GPS navigation, awesome build-quality, front-facing camera and with a much more fluid interface that these laggy mid-range Androids (let's say: Galaxy Spica or Galaxy Ace).
What you will "show" to your friends with your laggy mid-range Android phone? A poor LCD screen? The Android logo? A QVGA Video recording? Oh please.
What will you show to your friends with a Galaxy S? A giant Super AMOLED screen into a phone made of the same plastic of Samsung cheapest phones with a iPhone-copy-cat design? What will show to your friends with a HTC Desire HD? A giant and poor LCD screen with no visibility in direct sunlight, with poor audio quality, camera and video recording? Let's hope you will be able to show all that before the battery run out.
I think you've been seriously brain-washed.
AnonD-252, 06 Apr 2011Nokia and the Symbian-fans live in a dream-world because Android will "kill" Symbian... moreI can't wait for the Q1 2011 Earnings Call of Nokia. That will silence doubters like you who don't believe in Symbian.
