The true bad guys are the ones controlling you and monitoring you. You don't want more control. What you want is total transparency. With total transparency in politics and finances, all the bad guys would be exposed... they are the cabal of politicians that have been controlling this planet for millennium. They always try to divert attention from them to pseudo-terrorists that the media sells you... and the people, gullibly, believe in what is being fed. Transparency, all in the open, every meeting, phone call, transaction, all real time recorded, taped, everyone able to check online. All the banks, politicians, financial institutions, governments will be exposed in their manipulation and oppression of the people.
EL, 12 May 2017I think its good..but what i notice is google seems like starting to control user especialy go... more In the United States, the National Security Administration uses a prism observation system to effectively monitor every online computer keystroke. The US military hacks mobile mobile devices, including both Apple and Android systems, before encryption takes place. Never mind the constitutionality of such practices. Yes, I 100% want them to catch the bad guys. Speaking of my opinion, I would like the powers that be to better focus on primary suspects, they in effect, spy on the entire country, with or with out a warrant.
The article says, "it will come to all new devices launching with Android O preinstalled.". So does that mean it wont be supported on devices launching with older version but upgradeable to Android O?
Just get rid of the damn bloatware
When will this implement ??? In 2020???? All android smart phone supplier are very very slow to provide os updates :(
This isn't going to work. If carriers and manufacturers really wants to update their old devices they would. Imagine your 5 year old device running the latest OS, would you even think of buying their new phone??? No, majority of us wont buy, So manufacturers want us to discard our old phones as quickly as possible and buy new ones. that's why they won't update even if they could.
Lol. Good luck with that.
If you want current updates, you buy a Pixel or you buy an iPhone. There, those are your choices, period, end of story. ENJOY.
AnonD-669148, 14 May 2017Why not make it possible for every Android user to download and install latest Android version... moreBecause in android phones so many manufacturers and factors plays. There is chipset manufacturers who gives drivers, Google who gives softwares, and companies who optimize according to their devices and ui. Now Apple has completely centralized update system as its their own software so they are able to update even upto 4/5 years plus they have only 1 phone per year. In Android the huge variety is a let down, hence if you want update only pixel is the way. I think it's too greedy of Google to give update only upto 2 years. They should atleast provide for 3/4 years. Again it will hurt their business, now a days phones are so advanced you can easily use a phone for 3/4 years.
This will create more fragmentation (which Google doesn't like) causing newer handsets to be dropped because there not running the latest firmwares forcing people to upgrade when there isn't a need. I have a phone I like but no doubt the firmware will become redundant forcing me and other people to upgrade when they don't want to. Not everyone wants to have a fashion accessory they want a functional piece of equipment that works for them. I'm all for innovation but the slightest tweak and a different shape it's ridiculous, they are producing new phones as fast as they can write code, it's battery technology they need to focus on.
AI, 13 May 2017Imagine all device with same android version got anniversary updates like windows 10..that would be awsome
AnonD-669148, 14 May 2017Why not make it possible for every Android user to download and install latest Android version... moreManufacturers are very stubborn to give an updates to their phones cuz they want your money, Google can't do nothing cuz the phones not belong to them.
Why not make it possible for every Android user to download and install latest Android version directly from Google regardless of what brand, Samsung or Sony or..., to bypass the slow updates from Lenovo/Moto and Samsung and Sony and...?
Imagine all device with same android version got anniversary updates like windows 10..
We understand, Google understands as well, but manufactures? That is diferent story.
I would love to have this type of updates on my phone, especialy since i own Meizu stucked on 5.1... But i don't realy think manufactures will cooperate.
Aniki, 13 May 2017haha, google as a big company only started on this direction while MIUI already has monthly up... moreAnd where is MIUI Based by the way?
Anonymous, 13 May 2017Twit ,iphone is a last decade phone in every way, the proof..watch the next one copy Samsung /... moreExcuse me but HDM (the company that worls with Nokia and that has ex-Nokians on board) hasn't announced a flagship yet....so your comment is invalid...
Basically the drivers won't have to be rewritten for each update. So Qualcomm won't be able to block updates by not providing new drivers.
But, you know, drivers aren't the cause most of the time. It's the OEM. He's the one choosing whenever updating one phone or not. And for most Androids, that's a no. It will stay like this. Why? Hey, if it works already like that, why change? And it's cost effective since you pay nobody to work on S/W.
yes add these to android o
