I wonder whether this new UI comes with some special hardware requirements or will be put as an update in some time for lets say, E7? it would kinda mean u're not buying just a 'dead horse'... (this is ment to be a serious question therefore all the android and apple fanboys please keep away your comments about dying symbian etc. thank u)

If you're asking the phones I have, well I own Iphone 3gs, Samsung Star wifi, Nokia e72, Samsung Galaxy Ace, and soon to own a Nokia N8.

Dudes, chill! I'm an Android user and fan, but i had plenty Nokia smartphones before that! They were the coolest things out there! Symbian used to rock the party back then. Now it doesn't anymore, but that's just a matter of time. They will catch up, as windows mobile did, as apple did with multitasking and stuff... So it's a matter of time! For now Android rocks, and maybe it will for another period, until someone else comes with a decent count of free apps and good UI...

i was a big fan of nokia from the time of 6630 and until 5800! increasing speed is a welcome but they should also improve the UI and make more attractive and flexible,, i was really turned down by 5800 both hardware and software -wise, and i think nokia need a revolution, there is nothing wP7 imitated apple, and apple imitated nokia, wm6 and palm! just bring us something decent! AND PLEASE ADOPT ANDROID FOR GOD SAKE! it's what revived sonyericsson and motorola!

i bet my 2 cents.. its got a whooping 8 mp but fixed focus camera lol!! i dont understand why nokia uses fixed focus?? they can as well better off with 5 mp autofocus.. i prefer latter as compared to the former..

The new Symbian UI will definitely bring back all the defectors and hold those planning to defect. The only thing that made symbian unpopular is the UI, nothing else. Nokia should learn to refresh the UI every few years. I predict we will see many Android users going back to symbian and WP7, why, they will be bored with the UI there, but also there will be increased security risks with Android. Not forgetting that Symbian, WP7 will also have better connectivity with Office and Corporate systems than other firmware. Just watch the space for a massive symbian market share boost with the new UI, I will remind you what I said here in one years time.

Oh come on guys your android is so great, you got apps saving on memcard form 2.2 update. My 5year old nokia 6085 can do that since it released. Nothing great apart form UI in android os. Now symbian also working on it. Android fanboys big Booooh..

well E7 is flop device because price is very high and if NOKIA want a good market share of X7 they have to announce reasonable price.. all the best NOKIA
