mir, 17 May 2017Browser speeds aren't really the be all and end all when it comes to smartphone speed tests. And same goes for games....
Mike, 17 May 2017Could someone tell me why the U11 doesn't support Bluetooth 5 despite all the other phones wit... moreI have just learned that BT 5.0 is not backwards compatible. So, if you have a $350 Sennheiser BT headphones, you cannot use them with the S8. (Assuming what I read was correct.) That must be why.

AnonD-521587, 18 May 2017No its not. Bluetooth advantage is that you can hook two different things on your device It's more than just that lol. Aside from what you mentioned it also has twice the data transfer speed, 4x the range (yes, FOUR... That's 800 feet), and it'll also help facilitate additional location-based functionality due to things mentioned above.
The HTC U11 definitely doesn't lack anything in processing power. Nice going.

The fact that last year's HTC 10 is still among the top with this year's phones speaks volumes about HTC. My roommate was forced to switch out his S7 for an S8 thanks to Samsung's teething issues! I use an HTC M8 and the 10, both run wonderful. The 10 is just as snappy as it was on the day I bought it!
That being said, I may not get the U11, I just don't see a reasonable upgrade over my 10. Rooting for HTC though!
Wow, surprised on these folks that never seen a S8 lag. I don't think I've ever saw a Samsung device period that didn't lag, especially in the home screen. Most video reviews of the S8 you can spot it also, what has been seen can not be unseen.

AnonD-145316, 17 May 2017You will never even notice the difference! That is such a small issue. You won't notice it now, but I'm thinking it would be nice to future proof the phone a bit. Never know what 5.0 is capable of in a year, 2 years.
Although I am a huge HTC fan (owned 5 HTC devices the past years) this year I was forced to buy the S8 as otherwise I would lose my carriers bonus.
It is pretty fast but sometimes it does lag for a second in some apps.
But to tell the truth I have it for around 4 weeks and this has happened like 2-3 times.
All in all its a great phone but if I had the option to get this or the U11 it is the HTC I would buy mostly for sentimental reason as well as looks

I dunno how S8 is faster.
I've tested one in the Samsung store and it lags terribly in the UI and in some games if you turn the settings all the way up (the way games should be played on a chipset so powerful)
Anyway, Samsung is known to cheat their benchmarks, so is understandable.

Bluetooth 5 is just too slow. That's why they didnt use it

Qualcomm always have 2 groups: weaker cores and stron... moreGeekbench uses the performance core , or in the case of big.little both.
It's been known for ages. The OS sees load, it appropriates the relevant cores no questions asked.
Gwekbench is mistaken when recognizing the processor because at the time of the recognition there is no load , so it recognizes the small cores alone.
They can solve this by running a temporary load during reading the hardware.
Yogesh Kumar, 17 May 2017Worst phone totally and accessory are more worst...too much heating and battery draining fast ... morehtc desire series is shit .. get some grammar classes and upgrade your wallet as well for the htc one series or now the u11 and pay for something good.
mir, 17 May 2017And you gave a damn enough to comment. How ironic is that? Lol!You were probably not taught the courtesy of replying. Sorry not my problem. And look, you replied three times to one reply of mine. Classy people. Now stay on topic all right?
I said what I found, if you get hurt by that, again, your problem. Go to the fruit section to talk about iOS, you are in wrong place.
Spike1, 16 May 2017Sami needs to do some tweaks to it's phones so they can shine on AnTuTSamsung and most other companies have in the past "tweaked performance to get beter antutu scores". Its called benchmark cheating. No one condones it anymore.
