I don't know about India so I'm not gonna comment on that (there are sure lots of Indians in this site btw) . But most of the phone you listed still doesn't have FHD sAMOLED, a F1.7 camera and available in brick and mortar stores. so....

I love the new design tbh. The black one looks nice with the new antenna line and the new camera setup. The gold one... not so much.

Among all samsung phone, J series and A series are so overpriced compared to their spec! I can buy 2 redmi note 4 with the price of A series, and j7 is a little bit pricier than redmi note 4, but spec wise, redmi note 4 run pass j7 by big margin. And not no say, j7 always messed up their display, I have 3 friend that own j7, all with screen problem and it so accidently happen after their warranty expired! To replace the lcd, especially for samsung and apple phone , it's always almost half the original price.

By the looks of it, J7 (2020) would have 4 GB RAM, 64 GB ROM, S6 camera quality and Android Q OS. Good job, Samsung.
