e6 has 326 ppi dislpay, same as iphone 4.
Anonymous, 12 Apr 2011U also need 1ghz to play 1080p videos! Guess 240p is enuf for nokia users Actually 720p playback is perfect on symbian 3...that's why all the phones have a quite powerful Gpu
[deleted post]dude, make your own phone. E6 and X7 are Nokias-- hopeless to tell them that 680 mhz is slow. And perhaps ONLY NOKIA still makes phones with fixed not Auto focus ;o but they put 8mp on their fixed focus phones..strange.
Thats why I will never again buy a Nokia. Unless Android is in it.
X7 looks like a cigarette box, with grills ;P Not really my type, coz I dont smoke.. And brushed aluminum is not my thing-- you can easily dint those when you poke it.
Despite these, the exterior is not bad.. the deal breaker is whats inside. Symbian looks so antiquated with those "squashed up" widgets and icons in 3 homescreens, and the minuscule clock in a corner. Not my definition of "high tech." PASS. Android is really much better.
Jackpot! A HTC Desire S is selling at 330 euro by 02.
obiously all will prefer HTC Desire S over E6 nor X7.. haha
e6 screen its just 2.46 ...arrghhhh why dont use 2.8 at least!!!!!
Symbian 3 is vastly underrated. Mostly by Android fanboys who can't see past their "Hybrid unoptimised OS".
Yes fanbois, your OS is a Symbian-iOS Hybrid, that doesn't offer anything other than functionality of Symbian, with a child like interface like iOS.
Unlike it's parent OS's though, it's MASSIVELY resource hungry. It's Bloatware, that needs faster and faster Processors to do what iOS and Symbian can do with much less. Thats what you get with Fragmentation.
The sooner Android fades away and optimized Operating systems become popular the better. And it will happen people. Mark my words.
SGM, 12 Apr 2011They do have dual-sim phones, they're just pretty low-end.You answered your own comment ... self goal
Anonymous, 12 Apr 2011U also need 1ghz to play 1080p videos! Guess 240p is enuf for nokia users last time i checked my n8 could do 360p just fine.
anyways, here's a quick question. can the gpu be utilized together with flash 10.1/2 and not just cpu dependent only.
pls answer truthfully. thanks in advanced.
680Mhz, No auto focus.. su*k
Bit pricey (~500€) imo... Don't really like neither design.
Can these full focus cameras handle barcodes, text scanning etc???
About the design... X7 is striking but unfortunately ugly and cheap looking... And E6 is totally uninspiring, E72 is much better... Both are fail product, better get N8 or switch to Android.
hi this ui has not changed they have only changed icons :) same effect we can get with some themes like NuLight and NuDark (they are on ovistore). but portrait keypad is a welcome feature. about split screen keypad, can be used properly if we install swype :)

Fixed focus camera is a dealbreaker for me. Can you still use a barcode or business card scanner app without an autofocus camera? Has anybody tried this? I would need a business card scanner on the X6 for work.
Nokia please we need the update fast...

You will need more than 680 MHz to do that. That meager CPU don't have enough power to do it. Flash Lite 4 found on S^3 devices is the watered-down version of Flash and it's not the same as the one found on Froyo Android.
I love its features.. Design and everyrhing.. But then again.. The stupid Fixed Focus is stiLL a downer.. As usuaL...
Carl Zeiss is reserved for the N-series. The cheaper models get a simpler camera that costs less to make.
