Don't like all of this nokia ain't nokia stuff. Ex employees form hmd who previously worked or were on the nokia board and are literally across the road from the old hq. They design and get manufactured from foxconn who do apple phones....what us there not to like? It's pretty obvious that they aren't headed up by chinese management and designers but people still peddle that myth.
If people are saying this ain't nokia, then was nokia still nokia when bought by Microsoft....because it probably weren't then either.
camera .. my dear camera. when will Nokia bring 808 on android ? will it ever be possible ?
AnonD-671363, 22 May 2017My best phone ever.Nokia 3310 is the best phone of 2017
Anonymous, 22 May 2017sorry to burst your bubble sir but they are Nokia only in name....It goes much deeper than just the name. But you already knew that.
AnonD-72356, 22 May 2017You mean Galaxy S8? samsung fanboys trolling here
Nokia is the Rolex of mobile phones in terms of durability and reliability.
People who know Nokia and know expensive watches will understand.
It is plenty good enough. Some of the old team and influencers are busy at work. I am Looking forward to the phone itself as already Nokia 6 was likely the toughest device of the year. Bodes well for future devices.
Some people say same 835. So what. That talk is really a shallow 1st world issue. Talk about picky. Nokia like the 6 are known for super solid builds. I hope it's a stylish device. Some little accent's would be a nice touch.
HTC have with U 11 created something extraordinary beautiful albeit innovative. If you watched the launch in detail you would understand, even if you don't like glass backs. So it we interesting to see the Nokia build in its probable simplicity.
Nokia have always had a little intrinsic something that simply makes a great looking, performing device. Nostalgia is fine too when it keeps up with the times.
Many people wanted Nokia to make a good Android. So let it be and make it sexy.
AnonD-628531, 22 May 2017Wrong. They were tested on 2 different programs (i.e. GeekBech 3 and GeekBench 4). The Kiri... moreI'm guessing you don't even know what you're talking about. I'm not talking about that....
Nokia ,please change the design like a phone.may be no 1 phone in the world
Anonymous, 22 May 2017So if I am your accountant and manage your monies I thus become you using your logic? Now you're just being difficult. You know exactly what the connection between Nokia and HMD is. No need for me to repeat it here again. Several posters have explained just that in this thread.
I don't know why you feel it's necessary to campaign "It's not the real Nokia" in every Nokia article's comments section.
AnonD-34062, 22 May 2017Yeah that's right. We won't buy a new Nokia because you say so. How about this: if you don't l... moredon't be a follower ? oh just like people don't buy apple or Samsung for the sake of following the brands at least nokia have built a long rep of sturdy reliable phones and having quite a few ex nokia employees they will be some experienced input into the phones
Anonymous, 22 May 2017Quote from your own article. HMD Global Oy, branded as simply HMD, stylized as hmd., is a F... moreAnd HMD Global are all ex former nokia employees. So they are nokia. HMD Nokia, Anyway it doesn't really matter as long as they make a decent flagship that could challenge galaxy s8 and give other smartphone makers competition.
AnonD-562549, 22 May 2017OnePlus 5Wrong. They were tested on 2 different programs (i.e. GeekBech 3 and GeekBench 4).
The Kirin 960 powered Huawei Mate 9, got a multi-core score of 7290 on GeekBech 3 but got 6112 on GeekBench 4.
The Snapdragon 835 powered Xperia XZ Premium, got a multi-core score of 7479 on GeekBench 3 but got 5837 on GeekBench 4
They're 2 different scoring systems.
Stop comparing them.
Anonymous, 22 May 2017ahh but then this is not nokia is it. This is just a start up company, using the nokia name. T... moreactually it practically is nokia as the so called start up company is made up of mainly ex nokia staff members and its not really a start up company seeing as foxcon manufacture the phones and hmd which was Microsoft mobile but sold and made into hmd by former nokia ceo has taken over all the licensing and patents yes hmd may only be about a year old but it was the same company that made nokias for Microsoft before they were sold and rebranded as hmd
