adix, 14 Apr 2011Without Whatsapp support, WP7 will not get the support by consumer. Microsoft.. please open up... moreagree,, its very logic. Nokia has bundling business with Whatsapp in indonesia, they appeared on the same advertise together. so when Nokia-WP7 hit the market on this end of year, i will not b surprised when Whatsapp already built in all new handsets of Nokia-WP7 they sell.. :D
Anonymous, 15 Apr 2011Is twitter still going to be integrated into the peoples hub? I recall back in february Ballme... moreIt will be. They didnt mention it because mix is a developers conference and they didnt mention much on the consumer side of mango. More should be revealed at PDC in september.
Seems like Nokia is really squeezin WP7, WOW!!, just a few months of alliance and we hav Mango (juice?!) with true WP7, something HTC, LG, Samsung etc couldnt do.
Well, looks like d future Microkia products will be something i personally, have to reckon with.
Until then....(loads PES 11 for Android)
Since windows phone 7 came out I knew that something great will happen sooner than later. There are one thousand and one thing cell phone user don't talk about and they are flexibility, integration with other systems and the rest.
With all these coming, I know that the apps are going to be populated faster than we ever thought.
With windows phone 7 having the same specs as the Samsung GSII, I think it will be wonderful.
Is twitter still going to be integrated into the peoples hub? I recall back in february Ballmer said it would be but i have seen it being mentioned in the mix 11 conference
I love to argue, 14 Apr 2011"android was way behind WP7 at their early age in terms of speed, stability, design, you ... moreWell I agree with you, it was totally different scenario. However this is just marketing issues, MS have two options, either they launched WP7 with full feature on time and sacrifice user experience or they launched WP7 with standard feature which need later update but proven, smooth, touchscreen experience. And MS choose the second option, which I think the right choice based on developers feedback, media review.
Of course the first update was a little problem, but this things not only happened with MS, I have onyx and have been waiting forever to get official os6 update.
So again I give MS thumbs up for their innovation in Metro UI, the way they response to developers and users, how they communicate to media so we slightest idea of what their next move is. Way to go MS
Bananna Joe, 14 Apr 2011Android is not that stable, even in a 1 Ghz proc. still SLOOOW, that' sone technical catch, nv... more"Android UI is backward" ??? LOL... are you confusing symbian and android ??
I have owned the HTC Surround. Great phone. I think the WP7 OS is great. Way better that IOS. IOS is boring. I think WP7 has Great potential but still primitive for my use. I am now with the Atrix. Android is still my first choice.
Anonymous, 14 Apr 2011I do not think you realise the benefits of live tiles, it allows you to view information from ... moreI think HTC Android users are about to get that with the release of the Sensation and HTC Sense 3.0, it looks like a really cool lock screen, got to have a go at the London event. Have to wait and see with (like the Qantas app) whether 3rd party devs make the most of it!
Bob, 14 Apr 2011Will wait until Nokia announces their WP7 phones Check this out:
hotchocolate, 14 Apr 2011WP7 will be the king unless Android is gone...how could possibly WP7 catch up Android's 350k d... moreAndroid is not that stable, even in a 1 Ghz proc. still SLOOOW, that' sone technical catch, nvidia partnership is not exclusive, even ATI is talking about joining Nokia in their new phones, and remember one of the first phones with 3D acceleration was the N95.
Android is not good, the interface looks bacwards, and remember WP OS is not released yet, is like Windows 7, every one was talking trash about it, and now is the best OS never made it by Microsoft, not, Linux, not Apple can catch that. And the windows phones was the best selling phones of all time, Adroid have the lead for now, there's no real competition, but, experts are already talking, let wait...
And remember Microsoft is looking for Hardware partners, and If Nokia do phones ONLY for WP7 we will see ned Apple Like devices,....thats why iPhones are so stables in hardware, they are specially designed to work with iOS
Bananna Joe, 14 Apr 2011Define FREE, you still nedd to root Android devices in order to USE copyrighted software, so, ... moreWP7 will be the king unless Android is gone...how could possibly WP7 catch up Android's 350k daily activations in years? Android is getting stronger day after day...1st Nvidia join it...And now Intel..following by AMD..Android got huge background and partners..I'm not looking good on OS sorry...
IOS and WP7 fanboys keep insulting Android about their web browsing not smooth as them but believe me, once Galaxy S 2 release it will let them know what does "web browsing" means...at least the clip from gsmaren (LG Optimus 2X vs Galaxy S 2) shown us..not to mention it still 1ghz during the demonstration..So if you want to compare, take the best one.
TC, 14 Apr 2011Nothing "unique" about WP7 user interface, it can be installed on any Andriod!
Symb... moreDefine FREE, you still nedd to root Android devices in order to USE copyrighted software, so, free is not allways mean good.
Is like Linux, I don't care how much crappy free software have, I will use more often Microsoft Office than OpenOffice and I will use more name software like, Adobe, Autodesk, and so on than useless free alternatives.
If you want to use something and you can pay for it do it, but don't trie to make me thing an Hyundai is better than BMW. And believe or not, the +80% of the software around is running under Windows OS.
That's why Microsoft is so powerful. Not Linux, not Apple OS, and some time ago Windows Mobile was the KING of the Mobile OS, and I'm a believer this going to happen again.
I'm not a Microsoft fan, but I can realize what's good and what's not, and Android is good, NOT great, iOS is good but NOT great, BB is'n good and great, Symbian is outdated. Let's see how good is WP OS.
WaNgSa86, 14 Apr 2011People talking crap about WP7 cuz they don't have one or they never used one, only speculates ... morewhat are you on.....it's smooth like iOS and just as empty as iOS when it first came out ........and it's closed just like apple
That's why I see a lots of benefits between Nokia and WP7, since Microsoft is looking for someone that makes hardware specially designated for work on their OS. Specific one company that will no give "their back" to Windows OS for other like Android. And Nokia has a very big part in phone marketing.
For other part, Nokia will work with a Major OS company maker like Microsoft and receive new technology by the way for their phones. And grow in reputation.
Believe me Symbian is only for low end phones, I see a bright future on Windows Mobile, maybe they will releas Windows 8 Mobile at hand to hand with new Nokia phone releases. No one never knows.
von, 14 Apr 2011Guess I'll never really see NOkia's Symbian somehow reach the sophistication of the Japanese s... morehmmm by Japanese u mean sony-ericcson right?? They where the last ones using symbian OS on their phones and I believe it was the Vivaz Pro. So What u wrote is not that right.....
