I think that's not a so-called "2017 basic standard feature". Smallish battery? Check out PhoneArena's battery test of the phone and it exhibits longevity more than what you expect. Specs never define user experience because not all people care about where their phone's SoC comes from, not all people care about 4K video because it eats too much space, and not everyone wants a fingerprint scanner, especially the security conscious. There is more to a phone than chipset or biometrics alone. Sony already clearly stated that FPS won't fit because of those slim side bezels. Tsk

People comparing price with s8,there is misunderstood,s8 mean to xzs,meanwhile s8 plus mean to xzp ,so in this cases xzp is muach cheaper with more innovation

UCH12W Quick Charger (RM199) is not entirely free it is actually the REPLACEMENT of the original charger (RM119)in the retail box, meaning it free only RM80, so the so call exclusive pre-order gift is just not worth RM328 as advertising by Sony (328-80=248). The soft transparent case and tempered glass just didn't worth as much as RM248, which is just plain funny.
Most importantly XA1 Ultra is simply overpriced without 2017 basic standard features like no FPR, no Wi-Fi ac, super small battery, no 2160p, no snapdragon chipset and but have unnecessary unreasonable super thick top and bottom bezel. I really wanted to buy this model, but I will pass and wait for XA2 Ultra, at the meantime buy Redmi Note 4 or P10 lite 1st.

Sony xperia xa1 ultra very overpriced.....here in Malaysia sony xperia x comoact cost rm1799...better buy x compact which have fingerprint reader,stronger chipset,good camera,great battery life,dual front facing speaker and have good display.

Here in the Philippines, the staff from sony shop called me up that they are accepting pre order as of today. The only downside to it is their freebies. They will be giving only a Bluetooth speaker worth 4999pesos,just a 100$ worth, while in germany they are giving 3x that worth as freebies. How unfair, the unit orice cost 45590pesos.,if you convert it to US DOLLAR currency it cost more than 900 dollars

In Hong Kong it's available in stores starting tomorrow, we are a head of everybody else. Pre-orders from Sony or selected retailers gets you freebies worth around USD$100, or nothing at all at third party dealers so shop around for the best deals.
