For the pricetag of an iphone or google phone, this one should be a godly phone. I say this because, even tho it's backed by the android creator, that doesn't make it a company with history, tech support so on and so forth. It's a fresh firm which is trying to affirm itself by throwing a device that costs as much as the big players.
Will be interesting.

I forgot about this phone alltogether but i am excited to see what Andy & Co has been baking.
Looking for :
1) Very very slim bezels.....(looks like)
2) A 5.5"+ screen (fingers crossed)
3) Top 2017 specs ( SD835, 6-8GB RAM, 64/128/256GB storage etc..i hope so)
4) Very good camera ( if it wants to compete with the top guys)
5) Big battery is a must for me to take a bite.
So bring it on Andy...let's see what u got for us. Remember some BIG ANDROID PLAYERS have some very good stuff in the pipeline coming out very very soon.

One thing you small phone loving people tend to forget is that the market is not only for you guys. Most of the customers like to be productive and hence the larger screens. And if the design is anything similar to the Mi MiX, its footprint will be smaller or same as the current 5.5 inch flagships.

Well if it's Andy Rubin himself, the software support will probably be top-notch. As well as bypassing any locks that carriers put to ensure your phone has halved RAM, such as actually deleting bloat without ADB...

This is coming too late to gain any traction in the smartphone game. The flagship market is saturated, there are plenty of good flagships that are commercial failures because they fail to take market share from existing players.
They are also probably too late to compete in the bang-per-buck market. Oneplus and other chinese OEMs keep pushing prices down in the same way they did to desktops.
Finally, there seems to be little differentiation. Modularity just doesn't work in smartphones. Motorola pulled a technically beautiful implementation of modularity, but it's going nowhere commercially.
