I believed !!! I believed that this is not Nokia !! It is:
A Chinese smartphone with saint Nokia's brand !! You having any doubt!? OK look : 8Gb of Ram !!! No, it's not Nokia
So if the leading developers from Apple move to a new company that make phones, will that new company be the "real" Apple?
HMD is NOT Nokia, but I like what HMD have done so far with their new phones!
There is no debate. Ram and ram management is what ensures performance more than any other component on android and Linux systems:
Time to settle this topic, it's the only way we'd stop getting abominations like $800 phones using the same amount of ram as 2 year old phones (because more ram "doesn't matter" and then promptly losing to every day tests)
Ram matters immensely on android phones , no two ways about not. The phones that aged worse where those lacking in ram and storage speeds secondly, not those lacking in processing speed. I jhave mid rangers of another era still surviving and flagships (I'm looking at you S5) not even making the second year without lagging to an extreme.
I !ran software optimization matters, heck processing speed matters, but all are dwarfed to ram amount and ram management (firstly) and storage speeds (secondly).
You want a fast phone? Seek the one with the most ram and fastest storage if you you look at hardware strictly, and the one with reasonable ram management (if you look at software).
HMD does this right of they are to follow through.
I like big phones with a powerful chip, not a 630 or 640 but an 835.
The joke is out if Nokia joins everyone else and builds another 5.5 inch phone with a mega chip in it.
Since this is what everyone is doing.
And everyone but Samsung is having a hard time selling phones. Hmm what does that say for Samsung.
Personally I don't buy Samsung because I don't like their UI.
But if Nokia jumps out with a flagship phone very similar to all the others.
It would level the playing field. As such you would need only look for the cheapest phones.
Since all specs would be the same with various Rams and battery sizes.
If this happens there would be a leadership shake up in December 2017.
Anonymous, 26 May 2017Nokia Mobile Division (the one that actually manufactures mobile phones) has already been acqu... moreWell! in my opinion though HMD is like the Mobile Dept. for Nokia
And Also almost everybody in the world knows about the Nokia+Microsoft thing
But Thanks for Update though really appreciate it
I hope for sth with ~ 4,7 screen with same spec like bigger version. Big sensor around Nokia 808 PV, camera button, xenon, radio, maybe 3.5mm jack, replaceable battery, good, quick, long support, excellent sound, no bootloader lock.
Anonymous, 26 May 2017Nokia Mobile Division (the one that actually manufactures mobile phones) has already been acqu... moreBecause everything on wikipedia is fact, and can be trusted 100%...
A lot of the original Nokia team are still there (the ones that Microsoft fired), you know, the people that actually make up the company, that design, develop and create the products, not just a badge with Nokia stamped on it. Licensed or not, it's still Nokia.
In today's global ultra tough competition, is quite hard to really stand out, I mean to sell millions and millions of one's company flagship model, with flagships such as the: Samsung's S8 duo, XZ Premium, G6, U11, P10 duo & more affordable flagship (killers) such as the Xiaomi Mi 6, (upcoming) OnePlus 5, ZTE 7S/8 & (upcoming) iPhones & Pixels duo and so on (V30, Note 8 ...). So I think that for Nokia to really make some sort of a great comeback with a top flagship (not 3/5/6...), They need some sort of a wow factor to make some news with, so although it won't be the world's first one (Asus AR...) but at least an 8GB RAM from Nokia it will make more news, so hopefully Nokia will include an 8GB RAM or something slightly innovative or at least different from the majority.
Beat Nokia!!! Im with Nokia, Htc, Sony, Huawei, Asus.
Lg also not bad, Xiaomi move to better
Lady Whateva, 26 May 2017Do you live like under a rock or something? HMD Global is like Nokia Mobile Dept. Nokia Mobile Division (the one that actually manufactures mobile phones) has already been acquired by Microsoft. Nokia today as a company no longer makes mobile phones but instead now focuses on large-scale telecommunications infrastructures, technology development, and design licensing. Look up its wikipedia page. HMD Global is a new company using the "NOKIA" brand only to market its products. It's not the Nokia we've known in the past. That's already gone and never coming back.
Trooper, 26 May 2017C'mon, stop repeating the same old rubbish, it's getting boring...Pay no attention to that stupidity. It's not worth your time.
The Nokia 9 looks like it's going to be a beast! Although I personally can't see myself needing 8gigs of RAM in a phone, I'll definitely get one of these Nokia 9s. It'll be a companion for my N9, ha ha.

HMD Global is like Nokia Mobile Dept.
615 Single Core score?
Lol I guess my Zenfone Max with 530 Single Core score isn't bad at all.
