    Nice Article.

Nokia: Grande Valse (Super iconic tune. Boot-up animation is a clip of the tune along with famous "Connecting People" hands. The new Nokia 6 has the tune, but drops the graphics)

Samsung: Over The Horizon (another iconic tune. Old version's way better than 2017's mess. At least it's still very much alive & it keeps evolving. Also sometimes boot-up sound is a clip of Over the Horizon, just like Nokia)

Intel: Leap Ahead (Iconic. Pung..... pun-pun-pun-Pung!)

Motorola: (Robotic Voice on) Hello Moto....

LG: Vienna Boy's Choir: Life Is Good (weirdly addictive song that hypnotizes you to believe that life is good)

iPhone: Opening (Default), Marimba & Xylophone. (3 famous tunes, though more lifeless than the above)

Samsung is trying hard to beat Nokia Tune with their Over the Horizon, but they can't beat that

the nokia ring tone is one of the classic and recognisable tones of all and the best part is that you can sample the history of the development of the handset with the quality of the tone.

the interesting one that gsmarena dont show is the competition one that turned the nokia tone into a dubstep beat and was amazing to listen to and still a popular one for me to the point that i have it transposed to my samsung device.

i like the over the horizon tone, a nice orchestral tone is always good but you have to make it clear that there are no screechy highs and over the top lows and the mobile speakers arent a hifi system.

Not to forget the Sony Ericsson ringtone, now being continuously used in the Xperia generation, is still a popular ringtone to hear, especially in some Asian (Hong Kong) drama shows.

My personal favorite is Vertu Sandpiper, they made 3-4 versions of it, all available if you know where to look for. Also they made a bunch of ringtones together with the London Symphony Orchestra.

Anonymous, 28 May 2017Nokia and his Nostalgic Tunes oh God !! Thanks in advanceYeah its realky good that they put the lumia's awesome modern ringtone in the new nokia phones , i also love almost all the versions of the nokia tune , especially the 2004-2007-2011, there is also an awesome techno version with a bit of singing that came with my st charbel theme!
I also like over the horizone and my favourite until now is the S3 mini's one, its soooo emotional!!!!!!
As for the iphone's marimba , its iconic but i am groing a bit tired of it, the iphone's anniversary might be a good opportunity to remix it while keeping the original

I actually hate the Apple ring tones, they're annoying and as usual Apple forced you to use them. As several had mentioned the HELLO MOTTO that is more iconic than the stupid iphone ringtones. Another one is Sony Ericsson with its default Xperia ringtone is also a classic and still used today in the Xperia phones.
