Rest of Europe will Start Rolling-out on 20,April
Asia Carriers Late April
Worldwide Release on 25,April (Including Middle-East and Arab Gulf)

I have installed official Android 2.3.3 using Odin from http://www.samfirmware.com/ and I have rooted and lagfixed, converted to ext4, thanks to Chainfire http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788108
I now get the quadrant-score 1578 and it feels faster than ever before. :)

well here in Finland i just upgraded my Galaxy to Gingerbread via kies. Atleast the Phone info seys so. But now i have a broplemo The phones "space"... info bar...the one at the top of the display that you can drag down, well it wont work, needs to force close...shit allways something

My galaxy is really crap...it freezes at will.if it not the twluncher now,it another app trying to force close.maybe gingerbread will help issues..

Samsung has finally let out their most awaited update for the Samsung Galaxy 3. Android 2.2 aka Froyo is now available for all those with samsung Galaxy 3s in India and Europe.
To Update your Device
Make sure your device is fully charged!
BE sure to backup all your data!
Step one
Download the latest version of Kies
Step two
Fully charge your Galaxy 3
Step three
Connect via the USB cable to your computer
Step four
Fire up kies and let it search for update
if it does not give you an update, check for update manually by clicking the update button in the bottom row.
Step Five
Follow the steps on the screen and your device will begin the new update.
Few features that are in the 2.2 update -
* A very colorful menu interface
* The ability to Install apps to the SD CARD
* Apart from general Performance boost in processor, better battery and ram management.
* The 2.2 update also adds a lot of bug fixes and tweaks.

I went to all Samsung sites for all countries to find out that they have uploaded the manual for Gingerbread. All servers should be uploaded with Gingerbread update anytime soon. At least till the end of April.
