This is not correct.
Microosft leaked that they woukld use the MSM8255 platform from Qualcomm and that platform does not support 16mp camera modules. Maximum is 12mpixels.

amazing! wow the phone hasnt been created yet but there are already many nega comments :D i didnt know people these days are like nostradamous who could predict the future... maybe guys lets just wait and see what HTC will do, HTC always amaze their customers with jam-packed phone features :D soooooo please be patient. i wont be wondering why you haters right now would have this phone sometime in the future LoL :D

It is an insult to compare other camera phone today with Nokia N8 camera. Look at how good the Nokia N82 (5 megapixel + xenon) and Sony Ericsson K790 (3.2 megapixel + xenon) were. When consumer just look at the digital camera (point and shoot and DSLR), they surely know.

Sony Ericsson had a S0003 Cyber Shot with 13 megapixel with a "super bright" LED for Japan market but not many unit of this gimmicky camera phone (high megapixel, no xenon flash, lousy lens) had been sold.

the specs will tell if this is also worth it.. yeah you have 16mp cam but with all of the HTC mobile phones they never had a 16M colors

If you notice the dedicated digital point and shoot camera, they all do not just depend on higher megapixel but good lens, decent zoom lens and xenon flash. It's absolutely useless to have a 16 megapixel alone with a bad lens, bad software and led flash. See, to get enough light for low light picture, led due to it's low light intensity need to be turned on for 1000 x longer then xenon, so any handshake or subject movement will cause Blurred pictures. Just ask why no digital camera use led flash. Are Canon, Sony, Nikon engineers that stupid?

Sony ericsson done that in 2010 with the s006 its a 16.4 mega pixel cyber shot camera with exmor r sensor and a xenon flash and also the phones fully waterproof which lets you take pictures anywhere underwater but its only in japan there are plans about it coming to the us

THIS IS BLOODY RIDICULOUSE.... you dont need a 16 meggapixel camera unless you got a high quility lens and a huge sensor like the nokia n8 why??? because it will make no difference what so ever on such a tiny lense and STUPID led flash thats only good for shooting like 10cm away or less, comon mobile componys we are not stupid.......
