this is not wonderful, this is a nightmare how fast is the technology moving..i'm tired of technologies...i buy something and after 1 year it is old...should i wait or should i buy...the egg or the chicken?
Just can't wait for the time I'll have to carry the battery pack and the liquid cooling radiator for my turbo - boost enabled, 15" screened, 20 (twenty) GHz CPU-ed telephone in a backpack. I'll also have to somehow get a mobile electical plant to be able to recharge it, because it'll need so every 30 mins. Or, maybe, I'll fix a dynamo generator on the top of my head. It'll suit very well the wires, tubes and antennas going all around me :LOL
AnonD-422, 18 Apr 2011 600 Mhz lolol , you are Nokia old-fashion fan .I actually use a Samsung, and I'm not happy about it. Simple truth.

Things get the same with GHz race as with the megapixel war: sounds good on paper, actual performance gets worse.
What happened with high megapixel count compact cameras: they can't shoot a single decent photo at ISO higher than 80, because noise levels get frighteningly high. In truth it's not better having 16 million than having just 5 mln pixels in a matrix small as your fingernail really...
And in the GHz race what does all that mean: low battery life, higher price, but no actual benefit, short product life. Stupid marketing tricks .... My next smartphone isn't getting more than 600 Mhz CPU, even if the world falls apart, I promise. Or I'll just get a feature phone.
Nobody said that this will be an Android phone (Even though most possibilities point to and if Samsung is smart, it will be). What if Samsung is readying this 2Ghz Dual Core for one of it's Bada phones only?
AnonD-5299, 18 Apr 2011Seriously, we all might as well pick up out laptops and put it in our pockets and use Windows ... moreImagine this:
You have a Dual-Core 4Ghz Mobile Phone with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of NAND memory and 128GB Class 10 SDCard. You arrive at your office and plug a single HDMI and USB Cable into a Dockstation with a large monitor, Bluetooth mouse and Keyboard and Wi-fi Connection.
Would you not use your mobile to work? Imagine a kit, with a flexible LCD (Already Exists) or embended projector (Already Exists)? Would you not be able to use your mobile as a regular Computer?
Think about it.
i dont need super gigaHz phone to connect to internet
besides there is a device named ''notebook''
AnonD-6416, 18 Apr 2011Ok but if ur thinking about icreasing the CPU and the capacity of the phone, you must think in... moreThis will be supported in Android 4. Which will ironically not be available for the first generation of 2ghz phones. Lol.
For what???
Laurynas, 18 Apr 2011Maybe today 1Ghz is enough, but tomorrow it may be not enough. So, I don't see anything wrong ... moreOk but if ur thinking about icreasing the CPU and the capacity of the phone, you must think in the memory too. I think that the flash memory, in XXI century, is old heheh. The company should upgrade the memory.
These guys are losing their minds, it's insane! Soon, your mobile phone will replace your PC. I don't see the point of processors higher than 1GHz on mobile phones. It's more than enough. Phones should remain what they were ment to be.
High powered processors and high resolution displays are fine.
But it seems that that's all that the leading technology corporations think of.
Why doesn't anyone work on developing better battery/power source technologies?
Laurynas, 18 Apr 2011Maybe today 1Ghz is enough, but tomorrow it may be not enough.
