to all who are defending samsung, they really copied iphone'sdesign. samsung have been doing that for many years now. copying others and selling it at a cheaper price something the chinese are doing right now and which the japanese use to do also when their country was still struggling. and also the taiwanese. its a common practice.

all touch screen phones look alike. amazingly bland. It seems everybody is copying each other. Weren't icons developed a few decades ago on PC's. There like mens fashion, having a "Lazy Susan" recycle old ideas to be the current trends.
I'd love to see a suit like this tried anywhere other than America. It would be quickly thrown out with challenger paying all legal fees. It looks like Apple is engaging in legalistic terrorist plot designed to hamper the competition and deny US consumers choice in the marketplace.

i think is just about bussines strategy because the samsung and android making a great progress and the samsung smartphone is always fast to find a way for developing,making or creating a great technology.. its all just about the bussines competition.. but thats just my opinion.. theres already touchscreen smartphone or handheld vendor use almost the same candy bar model even before the iphone exist.. and many phone use android with almost the same model.

Apple is just being jealous of Samsung rise in the mobile industry.
What has looks got to do with technology? Don't all cars look alike? Don't all areoplanes look alike? Don't all televison look alike? Don't all cables look alike? Don't all shoes look alike? Don't all human hands and ears look alike? Then why should phones look different?
Every phone has to take a shape comfotable to the human hands and ears. Maybe Apple should have made their iphone in a pentagonal shape to differentiate it from other phones.
Please Apple, go invent more on useful technology instead of wasting time on lawsuits. Otherwise every man older than Steve Jobs will have to sue him for stealing their looks. He shouldn't have looked like a man but a goat to avoid such lawsuits.

From the camera placement, to the user interface, the rounded edges, the thickness of the exact same silver bezel, and etc. I admit, Samsung has one of the best technologies out there. Their AMOLED and hummingbird processors are one of em' but their designs are a hell of a lot of ugly iPhone wanna-bes! Even their UI sucks as hell. I wouldn't wanna be caught dead with those. At least HTC and Sony actually makes their own unique designs and not to mention unique UI's.
