[deleted post]^---- this guy knows what he's talking about :-P anybody who knows anything about Sony phones or knows how to use them knows that this phones a beast. The S8 needs the Orken man because it's buggy as hell. The G6 is already forgotten the only competition this phone has currently camera and spec wise is the HTC U11 battle of the underground kings

1. Sony focus more on the video recording in their camera sensor. Sony use no optical stabilization (OIS). Currently the 5-axis stabilization by them would produce the best video output. Avoiding optical stabilization also comes with some advantages, as utilizing OIS only results in videos that have a noticeably wobbly effect around their edges. You have to give Sony the thumbs up for the video department, whereby this had no competitor come close to Sony. As a trade off the picture captured will suffer from this.
2. To compensate the shortcoming the camera uses a large aperture. Larger aperture = more information can be captured. And, having a higher megapixel would gives better headroom in the post processing.
3. No OIS sensor would need lots of post processing in the still image. First it capture the image with its whooping f/2.0 19mp 1/2.3" sensor then start the image optimization, and by EIS & downsampling & adding dynamic lightning, etc etc. Every layer of post processing will takes a beat to the image quality. No doubt Sony haven't done a good job here and this area is what they need to improve.
4. Having such a large camera sensor physically and the dual stereo speakers, and to leave sufficient space for heat dissipation/buffer is not an easy task as said. You can refer to the MWC17 tear down and see for yourself how tight the space inside.
I believe Sony had already had in mind what should be focus more and no doubt the video recording is the current focus. On the other hand they will still try hard to make the image to be as close to the other competitor as possible. It still takes good photos to an average person for their mobile photo usage (fb, instagram, etc) whereby not much difference if it is taken that into consideration, just that it doesn't beat every single flagship competitors.

And effortlessly? Lol.
And bigger sensors mean better camera performance in general. And not just in the dark. It means that were a smaller sensor falls apart with anything but sun light these can still perform well. Evening shots, shaded areas, every day room lighting where there is still plenty of light but it's still too dark for average phone sensors
Even down to how the sensor handles dynamic range and exposure.

$1700 for an android powered Pico projector????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For $400 I can get an led laser projector full sized that has 4500 lumens brightness and a full HD 1080p NATIVE resolution.
And for a little more there is an android powered version.
You can get 100 give or take lumens in a portable projector for $50-200 depending on what you want.
That is beyond rediculously price gouged by dramatic and extreme proportions!!!
Very very few people and only very few people with a lot of money will buy it. And even most of them will know how expensive it is.
Especially since it's guaranteed it's run time won't be that amazing, it's brightness probably won't be more than 100 lumens. And we will be lucky if it's led and if the resolution is even 720p.
And before anyone says something about touch Lenovo already has stuff like that in the works in phones and it won't cost even $1000 when available and that's a whole phone!!!

Poor advertisement near to none when conpared to the s8. Still will open pre orders in us. Dont know when it will come to pakistan. Gonna buy the htc u11. Anyways it feels like true value for money compared to the xz. Price tag.
