Merry, 20 Apr 2011The design of this handset much more resembles to Blackberry Torch isn't it ? Anyone !!Black Berry Torch slider is qwerty key pad
Nokia C2-06 slider is just a phone key pad... notice the difference?
sooner or even now all phone will have quite similar curve, sides, outer/inside linings, shapes etc...
until someone design a phone that shapes like... slim like a pen? or small n cute like matchbox? or bulky like a drinking mug, huge like a tv? or tiny as hot wheel toy car?
how is it feel to have a phone fully touch screen with a 7inch screen but can tri-folded to fit into your pocket / handbag? AND folded thickness is only 5mm. functioning as a phone and a tablet
The design of this handset much more resembles to Blackberry Torch isn't it ? Anyone !!
Looks fine, could have been better if it has got a candybar form factor with Dual Flash.
Good phone with dual sim...but lacks flash for taking photos..will not buy...will wait for dual sim with standby and flash for camera...and torch...
Nokia now seens to be geeting it though only at a basic level
1) Dual SIM great - all smart phones must have Dual SIM
2) Standard universal charger
3) Slide out qwerty
4) Stylus inout + Touch + QWERTY - Yes all 3
Noika you make this phone a good bsuiness phone and it will sell like hot cakes
My God, that phone is too thick! I hate thick phones Nokia! Slim it down and you'll get more users like me!
nokia, please come up with a dual-standby phone in my dream as soon as possible. It should have the following features: candybar form factor, S40 (non-touch), battery of at least 1,200 mAh or higher, bluetooth, MicroSD card slot and Micro USB. If it meets all these, i will buy it immediately on the first day of its availability.
Come on nokia Serious Not the greatest phone seeing the n8 and e7 that you just brought out and dual sim why not make an Amazing phone that is dual sim to attract business people so the can use a personal and business sim :D
Davide, 20 Apr 2011Wether you like it or not, this phone is probably gonna sell at least 20 million units in Indi... moreIndeed.
I don't see anybody but Nokia making any kind of effort in the low-end feature phone market. This is a huge market that may not have the expectations that geeks like us have, but still want products that are fresh, new and provide what they want.
As far as I can tell, of the big handset makers only Nokia is making any real effort whatsoever to reach those customers. So despite their (many) faults in other arease, you have to accept that Nokia is a leader in this market.
Not to mention: Touch-enabled S40 is sweet to use. Tried it out and was immediately torn - it makes the already quick and lean S40 even faster and more intuitive to use. The more handsets like this, the better.
Wether you like it or not, this phone is probably gonna sell at least 20 million units in India, Central America, Africa and poor parts of the Middle East. Nokias loyal users for low end devices in these parts of the world are unmatched by any other company.
Ashad Chowdhury, 19 Apr 2011Same design all the time.coz its the same 'C' Series. Check out samsung's galaxy series. 3, 551, S all luks same except size
i have already test it at my job at cosmote romania. nothing spectacular. a totally new user interface for series 40 touch screen end very solid
gud step nokia, very gud,i will be glad if u give dual active and dual standby in this, and it will rock like samsug 6112 and it will also improve ur market share, release it quickly.
Thanks nokia keep trying in duall sim.
seems to be a really nice phone..these innovations like touch and type is what makes nokia the king of feature phones just wondering why they reserve this for feature phones only and neglect their smartphones (wp7?....lol)
not only growing markets, this may attract those also who were critisizing the sammy's 2ghz dual core processor!!! ;-))
