I'd rather get this than a cheap Chinese phone that offers similar specs/price because at least Motorola updates most of their phones.

Has to be good phone with a Nougat OS, whilst $400 Oppo phone are still Marshmallow
Anonymous, 02 Jun 2017What is the price g4 play?Around 150 USD.
RaghavaZ, 02 Jun 2017Another hint that Lenovo is slowly killing off Moto brand. With Redmi 3S/4 around who will buy... moreLenovo won't kill Moto. Trust me. Everything is OK.
So stupid, you can literally get a Moto g4 on amazon unlocked for $130 and it's way better than this
No thanks, redmi devices have spoiled me.
lol what is motorola thinking? I bought a g4 play for $100 in the US last year and it's waay better than this pos. This should not cost more than $50.
Force Majeure, 02 Jun 2017Not to mention Redmi 4X, for $20 more. What About Galaxy S5 2nd Hand In This Price..... Still S5 Not Bad At This Price Amoled Display, USB 3.0, Heart Sensor, Removable Battery Bigger Battery Etc etc Far Better Than This :)
On the face of it, Xiaomi phones offer better value for the same money, but they fall short in one crucial factor: availability.
It isn't each getting a Xiaomi phone with those ridiculous online flash sales, except for Bangalore where they have a proper store.
Phones may have awesome specs, but they are virtually useless if they are not easily available to customers.
And Moto will only stand to benefit as long as it ensures easy and quick availability of phones.

Rick, 02 Jun 2017Seems like a bad deal to me. 30 more already give you a huawei y6 II compact with 2gb ram, 16g... moreAnd 40 more gives you 2GB ram and 32GB ROM. Xiaomi redmi 4a
This is an essential phone. It's for beginners in Android who don't care about RAM screen resolution etc. The price is good IMO for a brand new phone (not imported from China), a clean Android experience and reliable Motorola quality. I own a shop a we sell a lot of Motorola phones because they are very reliable and only very few come faulty compared to Samsung, Huawei, Sony, LG (not to mention chinese cheap crap).
the resolution is ok if they put 3.5-4.0" screen size. ram should be 2gb.. one could get a better spec phone at the same price range..
it costly should be price $60
