PlayerPro music player is by far the best. The devs are always making updates with the latest Android features: Android AUTO, Chromecast, Nougat/Oreo notifications, material design, 10 band eq and more. Great player.
I've been using Impulse Music Player. I mostly listen to music while driving, this player makes it a breeze. I can skip songs without even looking at my phone. It completely works on gestures.
Also it has ton of options like crossfade, gapless playback, etc for someone who is a music freak but they don't matter much to normal user like me. All in all this is the best music player I've used on android so far.
If you are an music lover then, get these apps from here .It will help you to organize your music files perfectly. These apps includes sound equalizer, downloading artwork whitelist/blacklisting of tracks ,bass booster and many more.
Truth be told, PowerAmp is the best music player app available til now.
While there are more options than power amp it's still the best one for sound quality. It's easy to use too. Most of these new apps sound dreadful compared to Poweramp.
Interesting piece. If this is going to be a weekly feature going forward, a similar list on Android Apps to view video would be hugely helpful.
Beyond, 05 Jun 2017Looking for music app have Hi-Res support and show Hi-Res (or HR) icon on musicbecome a beta tester of Poweramp. Beta app has HI res
BELIEVE ME ON THIS ONE
unlock your bootloader and try VIPER4ANDROID
i have tried them all Poweramp google play music rocket player jet audio vlc neutron stellio maple and even so many stand alone Equalizers but never ever anyone even was close enough. Even BEATS AUDIO sounds shit and if it's not enough even the new aptX devices with LDAC technology can't beat V4A PERIOD
If you want to listen to music, Power AMP is the best I have tried so far. But, if you want to browse through your music files, enjoy the album art and of course play some audio files, you can try all these alternatives.
Is any of the players (except Photograph) can remember song and position ? I started listen audio books and podcasts and sadly realized very few players can do it. Most of players can remember the song but not position :(
How come no mention of Maple?
Maple is one of those rare proper music players that allow pitch and speed shifting on the move... its the only music player i use.
and its lightweight.
atleast 98% of Music Players for Android classifies music files by artist in ascending order, I always use music apps that classifies the title of the song in ascending order rather than the artist, which is the normal player of Asus, Lenovo, Oppo.
PowerAmp and Aimp are options also that you will not regret if you don't mind about their skin :3
