Holy buckets apple. Its about time.
Took them a good while to finally let theit users enjoy picture texting. The too be allowed to record video. Then years to set their own music ring tones. Then finally more years for a larger variant and usable battery life.
Now this?
It may have taken them 10 years but they might almost have a usable device finally

jtrogr, 05 Jun 2017And there goes the last pros android had against ioslast pros seriously. and so now according to you if ios and android are same then why would you pay 800$ for an iPhone when you get all the same features in any android phone costing 150-200$.

I would be surprised if it allows moving files within the device, like creating folders and stuff and save some file from internet. this would merely a file browser and not an actual manager I guess.
and more importantly what i want to see is if with the new file manager if we can drag and drop files to iPhones, that would be great actually and at least a useful feature.
How much you bet it's going to be an extremely limited file manager that barely let you move PowerPoint files and pictures to external drives?
Anonymous, 05 Jun 2017Apple copies Android!Symbian had a file system folder way before android was even concieved. So credit where credit is due.
It's taken them over 15 years just to do.
And Apple innovates once again! I'm sure that now Google will just copy this brilliant idea. They will go back in time by 10 years and implement it in Android. Maybe even others will go back 20 years and implement it on Palm OS, Windows Phone and Symbian.
And there goes the last pros android had against ios
and apple will show that the file manager is something that the world does not know about and how flawlessly it works and how you would be able to see the files in your device and its such a step ahead for all the old iOS users that you should get the newest iPhone as it will also have split view OMG wow... and again iPhone will sell like anything. best innovation
