Jayanta. even where I live in israel. I had a samsung galaxy s4. that swum for about 2 minutes in the pool. I have gone to a samsung center in Ramat Yishay. and the same thing like you described happend to me. ALL companies. INCLUDING THE ALLMIGHTY SAMSUNG! avoid fixing if there's water damage.

I had a very bad experience with OPPO I bought a OPPO F1 Plus phone at Rs 27000, the phone got water damaged within 6 month of purchased (Within warranty period) . I send the phone to local OPPO service centre at Dibrugarh Assam. The service centre return the phone without repairing and told me that the phone is beyond repair. I complain the issue to Customer care center of OPPO but they did not responded. Now you can realise how much fragile OPPO phone.

AnonD-146024, 05 Jun 2017With R11 Oppo still holds the shameful record of Not using 8 series Chipset even once. Oppo has used the Snapdragon 801 in 2014 with the Find7. But since then they still haven't got a proper flagship.

Pretty much OPPO midranger and high end phone look the same. You can't even distinguish between their phone. Color and design is too boring. And price is high. I never recommend OPPO phone to any of my friend because of the price. But, nothing can said, as their marketing is too strong. Only left behind samsung. Samsung advertise their phone every where, then comes OPPO, then vivo, even though OPPO and vivo is practically the same company. That's why I don't buy phone from all the above. I rather choose xiaomi for the price. But after sales service for xiaomi is weak. What can I say, price play a main role. I stick with my redmi note 4 for now. Hopefully can get op5 soon.
