AnonD-260847, 06 Jun 2017Is Safari really faster than Chrome on Windows? In my personal opinion I'd def say yes. I've been using Windows/chrome since I have memory, and I recently got myself a MacBook and safari is surprisingly fast, even with my low quality internet connection.

viveksubhash, 06 Jun 2017Now i have seen it all... Afaik the whole thing about touch on windows is controversial and wh... moreWindows is trying to build for touch.
The Window resize buttons have grown in size.
The Metro start button have grown in size.
Swipe gesture for action center, with large buttons.
Touch and drag up for full screen.
Ribbon UI becomes a norm everywhere.
Virtual keyboard for onscreen input.

MacOS buttons are as small as always, the 3 round buttons on the left hardly changed. Status bar icons are also small. All functions are hidden in the status bar, which is a nightmare to control with touch. Thats why Pointers are still a way to go on MacOS.

So no, touch is ok on PC, but not on MacOS atm.

""Safari has gotten a lot faster in High Sierra, in fact Apple says it's going to be the fastest desktop browser on the planet, up to 80% faster than Chrome.""

Everything is faster than Chrome xD xD
Chrome times of being light and fast ended few years ago, now its heavy unoptimized brick that suck RAM like drug addict.

I have noticed multiple instances of Chrome running in the Task Manager even when I'm having a single tab. Chrome is really a memory intensive application. But I always use Chrome for its stability and speed. It rarely crashed for me.

Afaik the whole thing about touch on windows is controversial and why windows 8 was not a sustainable thing and windows 10 went back to traditional style.. Windows is not built for touch and if you want to compare trackpads or mice you should compare equivalents like the trackpad on a hp envy or a Logitech g300 for starters to the mac

If you are a user of MacBooks / iMacs or the like, you will never want to switch from touchpad /keyboard or mouse to touch.

Touch is ok on Windows PC, because their trackpad suck big time.

Now with official support on eGPU. Maybe gaming on a MacBook ain't such a bad deal! Don't even need to rely on Bootcamp.. Just use Parallels.

Just need one of those new MacBooks with T3 connector..

AnonD-425519, 05 Jun 2017Makes me want a Mac. I'm getting very annoyed with Windows' 10 endless bugs after each new update.Trust me Windows 10 is lot better, after using MacBook pro for years, I decided to shift to Windows high end notebook. It's a Dell i7 7th generation, 16gb DDR4 with infinity display coupled with fast ssd memory and I'll say it's much better productive, powerful and entertainment device with beautiful looks. I think windows is amazing if you buy the high end side laptops. It should be in the MacBook pro price bracket and you'll have a better device than even the highest model of MacBooks
