so it is full focus and not fix focus. It does not matter. Only outofocus can be the best you know. The main disadvantage for full focus is of zoom implementation. All 8mp phones produced by nokia have either 2x or 3x zoom because all are fixed focus. If those were outofocus there would have been at least 10x zoom. Making full focus nokia try to fool customers as it need less cost than an autofous sensor. Dont belive whatever nokia claims to be.

[deleted post]on plcing ur fone 50cms awayu get to c a good outline of paper, but on zooming the letters r all SMUGDED...serving no purpose with a fixed focus...

what most shock is that even the iso is set to iso 100
the picture appear to be grainy !!

I don't know how can you call that the nature photos are good? Can't you see that the colours are not the proper ones? + some of the flowers were blured. Only if I look at that red I can say that it's not how you can see it with your naked eyes. Close photos are bad. The other ones are good, but close ups are disaster.

Watch them at 100% size... excellent, you say? I see a very aggressive noise reduction, lack of detail and harsh noise artifacts... ok, this is a phone and not a digital camera, but I have seen much better results.

These ones seem to have more noise than the ones from the E6.. Better than many other phones anyway.. The Galaxy S II seems to have an excellent camera too btw.

Seen the photos, but still hopeless! Nearby objects are out of focus! Sorry very sorry, Nokia should give auto focus or at least give an extra focussing option for nearer objects or Macros! Disappointing :-(

Well, flowers on front are still blurry on both pictures. In other words, fixed focus cameras are still no good for newspapers and A4 documents!

The picture with flowers is colourful but not that good. Fixed focus camera is a "FAIL" as far as I'm concerned. Not being able to take close up pictures is a big disadvantage. Also, you cant scan barcodes. It would have been much better if it had N8's camera.

seeing what rubbish htc, apple samsung and other call cameras, autofocus makes no difference
