I don't think these small differences warranted a name change.

I don't know who makes the decision at LG Mobile but these people should all be F****** fired. Finally after starting to recover from the disasters of the G4-G5 they are trying to screw it up again for themselves. First regional variants where many specs like wireless charging are missing - this should be standard in every market. Now a Pro and Plus because of storage and color variant - please. You would think the main reason for a Pro/Plus would be to include the now available Snapdragon 835 chip. I have been using my LG3 D858HK for years now and is yet to see a worthy upgrade from LG. The V30 is asymmetric with that selfie cam badly placed in the middle of the screen.

Just storage changes and that count for a new name?! It could just be call LG G6. Why need to name it differently just because it have different storage? G6 Plus is basically 128gb version of the US variant.

One would think "Pro" and "Plus" were credibly separate devices from the regular G6 when it's LG randomly throwing around words.

LG is getting fussy about which countries get which models & specs, if they don't release a true flagship (V30) worldwide with same specs it will be very frustrating for me & bad for LG mobile

It better be the faster SD835 (Mi 6) and not the slow af version of S8/S8+.

What's the point? LG releases 2 more variants of G6 virtually the same phone of different price range just to make a buck, it would have been more relevant if these versions came with larger or smaller displays, more RAM & ROM etc......
