Its height now, company should now at least disclose the full details.... Many websites claim that device will be available for sale on 22 June but no one know about full specs...this is height...

Seriously, 8 GB of RAM is a waste on a mobile phone. A complete gimmick. People might say that "oh, more ram makes phone faster" or "more ram is important for ram caching and multitasking". No.

Firstly, more RAM doesn't mean a faster device. If the speed of a 4GB RAM is as high as a 8 GB RAM (which is the case right now), then you will have virtually zero performance differences. What makes a phone faster is their SoC and software optimization.

Secondly, people argue that more RAM means more apps will be save on their background. Not necessarily. A 4 GB RAM phone can save all the apps of a 6/8 GB RAM phone if you bypass the limitation by rooting your phone and change the build.prop. The reason why all those stock 4 GB phone struggle with app background is because manufacturers tend to limit the number of background app for a better battery life. If you want proof, remember when the OP3 first came out and their RAM management have to be updated because it can only save the same app in the background as a 4 GB RAM phone? After that many people complain about decrease battery life on their OP3.

So, which is more important? Battery life or saved app in the background for multitasking?

PS: Btw, I'm not saying that manufacturers shouldn't put high capacity RAM on their flagship. All I'm saying is people shouldn't judge a phone just by the specs.

nothing special for me, these oneplus 5 just another iPhone wannabe from design, I have no respect anymore because they are the only one who can rivals to Samsung and Sony, since oneplus 5 design is an iPhone look alike theres not anymore
