Anonymous, 12 Jun 2017Where is China in the list? Is China same as Africa? Even rural area of Northwestern China... moreRelax. China has agenda to follow, so this might be on the list but much later. They have the potential to be ranked number one.
My recent experience in Lithuania gives me impression that using Tele2 network I can get 70Mbps+ in almost any corner of the country. When using Telia dongle I was able to get ~142Mbps down and 170 up. This makes sense considering 280% coverage of LTE (yes - country is covered 2.8 times over). It seems the list looks at LTE+ or LTE++ access. I guess the averages the speeds doesn't really show real penetration rates and speeds, because it doesn't take into account plans restriction i.e. somebody has plan which gives speeds of up to 20mbps, or only 2GB data on full speed and 512kb/s afterwards. So that doesn't mean only 70% of country is covered, or only 45 Mbps speeds are available, but rather reflects on what users subscribes to. As well in Lithuania smartphones penetration rates are low in comparison which explains why there is no demand for high speed LTE+ and LTE++. If the percentage of smartphones capable of LTE+ and LTE++ would be higher the infrastructure is already there to support it.
sorry but this must be false at least on speeds. 4G speed at Vodafone Portugal everytime I test it(as part of my current job) it gives me values between 70 and 100 mbps..

Even rural area of Northwestern China is covered by 3 LTE networks. I could watch Youtube HD (roaming service on China Unicom network) on bullet train which runs at 300KM per hour from Shenzhen to Xi'an. The trip is 2200KM in 9.5hrs.

Anonymous , 10 Jun 2017Not only Japan and Korea, but China will also dominate too; so Asians dominate in the end.Lol easier to provide coverage for densely populated areas with small land area. Meanwhile USA is huge
Woh, pretty impressive to see Canada ranking in the top 20 not only in LTE coverage, but also in speed despite it being the second largest nation. Also very interesting that speeds are way slower in the US, despite the fierce competition in the cellular provider market...wonder how Canada would perform if we had our own version of T-Mobile disrupt the market here in Canada.
Anonymous, 11 Jun 2017How big is those three countries??Small. But have better lte coverage than other asian countries

AnonD-521587, 09 Jun 2017asians are not dominating lol. Only two take top spot and tahts Japan and korea for avalaibili... moreBecause South Korea is right next to North Korea, so they need to stay competitive to survive. While Japan doesn't need to consume that much speed to get the job done.
f**ck smart/globe here in Philippines.
Absurdly low at 5mbps in INDIA?? are you kidding.. its almost free.. and even in the darkest signal connection JIO lte provides around 10mbps.. call is free local. STD, ISD international, you name it, sms is free, 100s of other free services like live tv, live news etc. which Lte can provide this in entire world,, not to mention... 85% of Indian population is equals to 1000korean population combined (approx.).. how ever.. I use 100mbps broadband for less than 50 US-dollars or rs 2500 in kolkata..
Anonymous, 09 Jun 2017Globe and Smart both sucks in our country, I am so happy and pissed at the fact that we are nu... moreyou're living in a world where rich gets richer, the wealthiest among them all wants everything under their hands only, with all due respect to your people(coz I love your countrymen), some of your government workers s**ks! they'd even think they're better than your president, your former president "FVR" is even one of the network's owner(stockholder) and they love to see their own people cries for something they actually deserve to have, the country is great, it should be called the "maharlikan country" since I know the history of it, but the country is being controlled by alligators and pigs who just want everything for themselves not for their countrymen! I'd love to see the Philippines Republic to be as Good as Singapore soon, you have a great nation, you've had the best and most outstanding president a state ever wish to have (Marcos) and now your great president (Duterte?) so I wish you all the luck,

AnonD-349701, 09 Jun 2017I'm from Sri Lanka , Our 4G Carriers offer more than 50mbps and fiber lines offer more than 10... moreI'm also from Sri Lanka, this data is almost right.
MBPS and Mbps are different.
10 MBPS = 80 Mbps
Fiber Optics in SL is around 100 Mbps as per the service provider but on average achieve lower than that.
