Haha, robotics will never become ubuiquitus ... Virtual environments rather would ...
Another fail from Sci-fi movies. They're basically missing all the improtatnt things (internet, globalization, jihad) and are wrong in everything they "predicted". Conscious AI will never exist, Flying cars will never become a thing, jetpacks too (never), robotics would be a niche and a gimmick, and as 3d printers (nanobots) would become ubuiquitus big robots would actually subside. No intergalactic travel (like never), and interstellar travel so rare that will happen once in a thousand years (nonsensical to do as you travel in a different timezone of the universe due to the time separation involved)
Sci fi would fail to prectict vastly expanded lifespans, animal rights, veganism by the way of lab meat, basically an end of wars as they used to happen.
Most sci fi, predicted the future almost oppositely than how it will happen. There's not even one that does not make laughable errors.
They're (bad) fi, rather than sci. Google selling their robotic division shows just that, how fail sci fis are ...
