Other than that, the rules include the spec sheet of gsmarena as well as other sources all around the web. We'll use the main flagships of both companies, the older iPhone 7 vs the newer S8 (iPhone 8 vs Note8 would be fairer. I would do iPhone 7 vs Note7, but you know what happened there lol)

-CDMA support idk but samsung support whatever signal enough to talk
-EVDO support idk but samsung support whatever signal enough to talk
-no inferior versions for specific parts of the world (compare EU vs US variant)
-LTE band 27 idk but samsung support whatever signal enough to talk
-LTE band 29 idk but samsung support whatever signal enough to talk
-LTE band 30 idk but samsung support whatever signal enough to talk
-shorter no
-narrower
-thinner
-lighter
-AMEX support
-no image retention because of LCD
-oleophobic coating
-wider color gamut
-3D Touch
-taptic engine
-longer update support (5 vs 2 years)
-safer OS
-apple integration (Handoff, AirPlay, AirDrop, iCloud, iMessage,...)
-faster (phone buff speed test, geekbench single core score)
-128/256GB options
-superior RAM management
-quad LED flash (Samsung still uses 1? iPhone had this years ago with the 5s lol)
-true tone flash
-1080p@30/120fps
-720p@240fps (at least according to GSMArena)
-front face detection
-front panorama
-front 720p@240fps
-stereo speakers
-louder speakers
-richer bass
-digital connector
-backward compatible connector (back to iPhone 5, S8 isn't compatible with S7)
-much better fingerprint scanner location
-less depreciation makes for higher resale value
-no forced edge screen which is hated by many
-aluminum back isn't shattering
-off-screen button

Know WHY Qualcomm quickly released their X16 LTE modem in SD845?
Because draft for 5G has been made and expected to be introduced in 2020.
That's why, since 2014, Nokia, Huawei, & Ericsson has been doing 5G tests, cooperating with various countrries around the world.

Gigabit LTE is gimmick? Now that netflix and similar sites becomes hype, Gigabit internet connection is a must to cope up with very high quality content (4K and above) which need to be streamed.
Just try to watch an hour 4K video content (no compression like utube does) with the speed of today's LTE, u'll be irritating as hell!

Lack of gigabit LTE speeds won't stop a millennial from walking out in front of a bus as he is fixated on typing his 100th useless tweet of the day.

                        - Awful built ( looks cheap)
                        - Mid range audio quality
                        - Low ppi screen ( i7s+)

Zenodroid, 10 Jun 2017It's ok. They just got nfc for now. So the lte will come to Apple in about 5 years. They already have LTE for years. Gigabit LTE is a gimmick that is going to be really used in a decade at least when LTE networks will actually become that fast... Until then kudos to them for not riddling their phobne with gimmicks.
