The 940MX is not a GeForce GTX, it's just a GeForce.
7thgen i7, 1TB SSD for $1000
7thgen i7, 2TB NVMe SSD + touch screen + dial + 8MP front/16MP rear camera for $1999
where Apple fails to innovate, Xiaomi can fill the market space
this is a super boom for India Market
if they launch in india, it will sell like a Hot Cake ,,,
GeForce MX150 should have 1.33x the performance of 940MX at about half the TDP, that means about 15W, this is an impressive GPU for ultrabooks.
AnonD-629390, 11 Jun 2017to,

Now just change the screen ratio to 4:3 and I'll be the first to buy it.
I wish there was a version that didn't have dedicated graphics so it could be cheaper.
Will this last more than 2 weeks?
[deleted post]Xiaomi doesn't actually deny it. They made a cheaper macbook (more practical for the regular users) and they made it obvious. If you are a coder, photographer or video editor then go ahead and stick to macs. But for the normal consumer (most probably a student) who wants a sleek, powerful laptop with fantastic build quality for a low price, this laptop is as perfect as it gets. It doesn't mean that it is less powerful, mac is just better on the software end with some really nice choices for the professionals.
And the current variant can handle light games quite well, the new one should, in theory be able to run GTA 5 in medium-high settings at a smooth 60fps in 1080p. Can macs do tha........ Oh.... wait......nvm...... its a mac........it can't run games.
very well build for this price, have been using the 12.5" for few month, it needs to reinstall new windows and you are good to go. The only thing I don't like is it doesn't come with LTE sim slot. Should have ordered the Lenovo Miix510 and add the LTE module in it.
leledumbo, 11 Jun 2017I wish they build a performance variant with HQ series CPU, I need one badly....would only be good if the laptop 'nixed the Nvidia GPU, and had a (cooling) Desktop Dock for some External GPU connection.
Could be like the N-Switch, except much more powerful than the Xbox One X/Scorpio.
Compare to previous one, with $735 you get i5-6200U/GTX 940MX/SSD 256Gb, and the new one with the same price ($735) you get i5-7200U/MX150/SSD 128Gb/Finger-print reader ($810 for 256 Gb SSD). The CPU between those two have no big differences. The GPU has an significant increment only in memory bandwidth, but only slightly better with some other feature/specs. But to forfeit the storage to half capacity, is really Big NO for me. All others specs are the same, including display resolution, battery pack, memory (8Gb DDR4 for both devices), and number of all ports given in those devices.
Only $ 735, I'm very glad that Apple lowered the price of their MacBook Pro
Yuck Macbook copycat
