If no audio out (optical out) it won't get the theatrical effect. Price tag is quite high.

Pretty cool projector. I hope the next iteration will pack Snapdragon 660 processor, increased brightness, 6000 mAh plus battery and increased infrared sensor range so the touch will work beyond the provided range.. Good job, Sony. This is the first projector which looked interesting to me. I've the Redmi Note 3 which has got the same Snapdragon 650 processor and it's heats up with heavy usage and this Android projector is using the same processor so hope the next iteration comes with SD 660.

I don't know people hate sony they always comes with great product every time and people use that technology in different form but still people who does not have proper knowledge always think that sony is just another small company like lava, micromax etc.
they use ipod but don't know sony invented Walkman player first just like that people today does not valve this product but when apple come with this with premium price tag like $5000 they buy it.
some of my relative ask me to suggest good mobile phone so if I suggest them any sony phone they just look at me with question minded and tell me no, I ask them why no then they just simply give answer that I don't know but not sony any phone from samsung, lenovo even micromax, lava they think are good phone but sony is not.
So in this site & every tech site there is lots of people who hate sony but still they even don't know why they hate sony.

they have to put a complete mobile phone hardware to the projector to justify its price where it is more valuable to have the user's mobile phone docked to this device.

The rest....a camera and infra red port for tracking guestures and touches.
Wow now it's $1700.
No it was not even worth $1000
