They f*ck with us, they are no able to release update for a half of year. They said, that update for OP2 will be ready in start of 2017, after that just a silence ... In this logic must be OP3 and 3T updated to ,,N" with no ,,O" updates... if 3/3T will be updated, users of OP2 will be f*cked twice...

RaghavaZ, 12 Jun 2017Better to opt for the established brands if software updates are of primary concern.. One will... moreYou mean the extra extra extra reduculous amount you pay extra ?
yeah onePlus might nog have kept their promis that they made about the OnePus 2 but I bought the oneplus 3t 3 months ago and that was under the asumption that they were activelly developing on the software.

Right now I have had more updates than I ever had for the htc desire, desire s, m7, m9 and 10.
Software is way more stable than that of htc (and that is saying something as sense was stable as f*ck)
The customer support that I had was great and they fixed my phone when I had an issue with the camera asap and without any problems.

So what's the deal with the hate on oneplus for their software ?

We can all keep thinking oneplus is the worst out there and think only that they stopped the oneplus2 dev because they want to annoy their customers but maybe all the hate is more blinding than anything else.

If oneplus is saying they didn't have the "software infrastructure team in place we do now" that isn't even a really unbelievable statement.

They are still small and relatively unknown company making waves but money is always an issue and if the oneplus 1, 2 and 3 have made them enough money to grow to a size that will enable them to better manage the software and distribution of updates in the future than I just have to aplaud them for doing a great job in growing and delivering stable software on great and stable hardware

If you buy OP now with 8GB ram thinking it will future proof. Remember this news. Your new shiny phone most likely will not last a year!

Get Sony or Samsung, they offer much more.

Better to opt for the established brands if software updates are of primary concern.. One will get lot better hardware and software support for the extra amount you pay. Adding some extra amount to expected price of OP5 one can buy XZ, S7 & co.

Ok don't give nougat, but don't just say this in just one statement!
At least show some decency to accept that you (and none other than your CEO) promised something very clearly and that you failed on your promise, and apologise to your early adopters!!
After this statement at least I am not going to purchase any OP product from now on. Period.
It is clear, OP3 & 3T helped you create a name among the general public, and now you f***ing do not need those old customers, and steadily increasing prices with each device.
Remember even Nokia fell to a point where it had to build from scratch and this arrogance of yours, you are not even a small fraction of what Nokia was,
I know that the amount of people who would give a f**k to this will be zero, but NO oneplus product from now on for me, you lost at least 3 customers for your future "flagship killer" with this statement

Anonymous, 12 Jun 2017So you don't care about the weak camera of XZ and the fact that it has only 3GB of ram compare... moreIn all the benchmarks your 6gb RAM OP3T scored less than the 4gb RAM S8/8+, XZP and 3gb RAM iPhone 7+. These OP5's 6gb and 8gb versions are just marketing gimmicks to sway customers from competitors with their affordable prices. They got only 4 devices to take care of, but still they can't provide Nougat for OP2?

To put it into perspective, the galaxy s6 which was released march/April 2015 got updated to nougat, baring in mind they have a ridiculous amount of devices to update and yes they have a bigger workforce but how many devices have oneplus had in their catalogue?

And since when did 3GB RAM became inefficient when OnePlus just used it with OP1 lol.

Wtf, just one major update for Oneplus 2? (From 5.1 to 6.0) I know that all the midrange and flagship phones from 2015 were disasters because of the stock cores from Snapdragon 615/808/810, but this doesn't justify this.
