But the retina of that iris had a fire fiasco that the whole world is aware. Now the fire fighters complain that Note 8 is around and they claim that Samsung did not have time to implement the on screen touhscreen, then wht place a Happydent like chewing gum sized fingerprint besides the camera that looks ugly AF.

Glass, no matter how gorilla-y, breaks. People who get this phone will regret it.
And that camera module is fugly. Wow. Aside from it's fugly trim around the edges, the vertical lay out never looks good. Seems like a pointless change for the sake of change.
The bezel-less screen could be cool, but from the back this may turn out to be the ugliest iPhone yet. And the back seems totally derivative of the new HTC U11 (which is appropriate since HTC also invented the unibody aluminum design that Apple took credit for).
I do predict however that the haters who hated on the Essential phone cut out for the camera screen, will declare it brilliant now that Apple has done the same thing.
Anyway, all in all this is the kind of cheesey design language that I expect from Samsung. Apple seems to be running out of good design ideas.

If this is true it will be bad news for them now.

I agree with you, Apple is a master of refinement. They literally build their fame over other's ideas. People tend to forget whose idea was that in the first place.
Don't get me wrong, i like how Apple refine different ideas and implement it beautifully but People give no credit to the originals.

It isn't Apple's idea at all, S8 was going to come with it but they couldn't implement it. Don't forget Note 8 is right around the corner before iPhone 8.

nice, I finally like how a iphone looks, the front panel design is a bit like the one from the Essential phone with that middle cut for sensors up top, just that it's a lot bigger on the iphones.

Many manufacturers will also implement the on screen touch id based fingerprint :D first being samsung, whose ass is gonna burn seing the feature absent on S8 and present on iP8

Second, for Apple's perceived reputation I'd expect them to be ahead, make something that no one has done before. Like Retina display back in the day. And something that is better. But I guess Steve Jobs is no longer around. The only positive side I see to this layout is that it will be easy to recognize an iPhone from a distance. I hope that other brands don't start copying this, like they do with those ridiculous antenna lines nowadays and non-replaceable batteries. But even if they do, not my problem as I won't be buying.
As for Apple copying this or that, yeah, I just saw a video of iOS 11 preview compared to Samsung's S8, I wonder where they got those new screenshot animations, keyboard layout switch and toggles. But, again, for Apple's "reputation" I expect innovation, something that makes you "wow, I wish I had that" not just "look my display is different" or "look we finally got small letters on the keyboard." But those times are gone.
Also, Xiaomi Mi Mix already has a bigger screen to body ratio without silly missing parts. Mi Mix 2 is around the corner. And iPhone 8 will be out next year.
