And Xiaomi aren't increasing the price of base models much (probably a few dollars only), they are introducing more expensive high end variants. And you can get a phone from xiaomi with flagship specs, crazy amounts of ram and storage and 18k gold accents for the price of a flagship oppo with midrange specs and overall mediocre quality. Xiaomi still has a long way to go to become expensive. And the CEO himself said that his goal is to always keep prices lower than the competition. It'll increase, but it'll take a while.

It is the same everywhere. Profit margins are higher for high-end phones. Once the brand is established, the prices go northward. I have seen it happen with Samsung. It will happen to these China brands. In fact, Oppo is already doing it.
CAMAROMANIAC3, 13 Jun 2017As a redmi note 3 user myself, yes, metal doesn't mean better build quality. My phone already ... moreNokia has always been a top tier brand.. Xiaomi may be able to provide the hardware but they lack durability and software polish especially the camera.. I'll buy xiaomi for my children to play but I'll buy myself a Nokia.. I'm still using a 5 year old Nokia just fine so this Nokia 6 will last me at least 5 years probably more while my children's xiaomi...maybe 2 years max before it broke
Well, in India it's not so easy to compete, or you offer great value for money phones, or ..... A little problems.
Rio, 13 Jun 2017Hi in India Nokia 6 64gb ram with 4gb Tom available or not? What is Tom..?

Are Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 using Dedicated Sim Card or it's hybrid one ?
When are you going to launch Nokia smartphones in South Africa, we have been so long waiting for our trusted device to hit our markets but it seems like nothing will ever happen even in future. Please Nokia remember your customers in South Africa, we waiting for you.
Ahmed, 13 Jun 2017I have a S7 edge and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X. When you take the xiaomi phones in hand, it feels s... morehappy that it helped. affordability comes after some sacrifice and build quality is first place where it is done.

When you take the xiaomi phones in hand, it feels solid and strong. Unfortunately after 2 weeks of using it, i noticed a significant bend . I was shocked and even more shocked coz i bent it back to make it straight. The xiaomi phones looks and feels solid but build quality is not that great. Now i got the explanation from your comment . :D

Redmi4a is less than 100$
Xiaomi better than nokia
i dont get it. all models with the same sd430. consumers will buy only nokia 3 that too as a secondary phone.
