                2nd, ongoing downloads can decrease the battery percentage by 2 -8 % depending on the chipset and the battery size. So restricting the background data is a must if you really want to preserve the battery life.

I use Samsung S7 now but used Sony in the past... moreI prefer big battery, and good enough battery saver, because nobody really use battery saver unless they want to sacrifice all the smartphone features like ongoing notification, ongoing downloads etc.

Frankly, Sony's Android software is best Android. It's more optimized than Nexus ones but retains all goodness of AOSP UI

                                  Literally it can make a 1,000mAh battery with the XZ Premium's hardware to last a day or two.

                                      I know that works better than android doze in terms of autonomy.
