They may be the best of what's available right now, I can agree with that, but they are ugly and the fingerprint sensor is useless, this is a fact.

The S8's display is, in a word, impressive. It's loudspeaker on the other hand, produces substandard sound in my book. Regardless, I am a Consumer Reports reader, going back a number of years. I'm glad that Samsung has turned a corner, what with their 2016 issues.

They just need to find out which one conforms the closest to the sRGB/Adobe standard because it's not very easy to achieve and the S7 and the S8 both did that.

Useless reports.
They're basically the less capable brothers of S7. I mean taller (thus harder to use one handed, yet no wider which helps on typing). Less battery. Fingerprint is now useless. Camera is a wash. General performance is a wash.
I guess Bluetooth 5 is what makes it worth it (really??!?)
In general those reports don't know what they're talking about. This the smallest different Samsung ever made in her history.

When GSMArena states the reddish tint on its screen compared to the clean whites of the XZ Premium, Samsung fans say jt's a defective unit.

U11 cant even withstand a bend test and those bezels..not to mention its... moreS8 a phone thats you cant fully protect because of the edge and break easily.
Each phone have advantage and disadvantages.
If there was a S8 flat version then its would easily be the king.
But when a client ask me for a phone thats can have an otterbox and tempered glass at the same time i have to tell them its not possible.
If you put a tempered glass on the S8 screen its will come off because of the otterbox raised lid around the screen... ( in fact its will do thats with any rugged case. )

Best overall but the most fragile phone ever made...
Too bad they did not make a flat screen version.
With S8 and S8 plus you cannot use a real rugged case like an otterbox and a tempered glass screen at the same time its one or the others.
So no thanks.

To be honest, this report is only what we all know. Samsung can sure produce a heck of a smart phone. Kudos Samsung.

SuperAMOLED is by far the best display around, check it from any angle. It's like the screen is printed on paper...astounding.
Any Sony display I have seen looks washed out.
However, I hope Sony keep improving their devices as that's what drives all manufacturers to innovate.

The last great smartphone from Samsung is the s7,the s8 is meh, it is completely mess, bezelless display while half of the people last year chose the regular s7 instead of the bezelless edge because of the worst user experience "missed touchs" ... Redish tinted display, i bit anybody if he/she can find a s8 on YouTube without the redish tint issue... Worst Fingerprint scanner position in smartphone history... Worst battery life than its previous flagship... And as usual Samsung with the massive bloatware "touchwise" will lag after some months.
No thanks, if i want 2017 flagship i will go for Xperia xz premium, htc u11 or wait for oneplus successor, if i want Samsung exclusively i will go with regular s7 since it is now way cheaper.
But as usual Samsung marketing always wins.
