J o m s, 17 Jun 2017Yep real-world performance like this.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcTAXsFHu5I or li... moreThat’s only a measure of keeping applications loaded in memory so obviously a phone with 6 gb of ram is going to have twice as much loaded in the background than a device with 3gb. Tapping an application at the same time doesn’t measure any performance from a device other than ping responsiveness also there are to many discrepancies with inconsistent internet connections between devices before the application can even be loaded on screen. The best way to measure raw real world performance is exporting a 4K video and measuring the time it takes, or running an unoptomized game for both platforms like simple planes which is extremely heavy with real-time physics, my s8 can’t even run a plane past 450 parts without lagging yet my 7 plus can run the max mobile 899 at a solid 30 FPS. That’s real world performance. Not benchmark numbers and certinaly not tap and go alpications just to see which loads faster.
CAMAROMANIAC3, 15 Jun 2017impossible!!!! the power level, it's over 9000!!!Made me laugh :) it is truelly a beast chipset

or li... moreagain.. i donno whats wrong with u.. u just said u cant compare with ios vs android..and now ur pointing me towards ios vs android links.. come on man..iphone doesnt comes with 4 gigs or 6 gigs of ram.. and it uses high performace dual core while using intensive apps.. or else..it just uses the low performace cores to open basic apps.. i dont think its an equal comparison.. and.. as we can see in the video..that guy turned of all animations in oneplus 3T..didnt u noticed that? while in iphone, even if u turned off those animation effects, it still does have fading effects..i usually dont like to turn off those animations in my note 4.. there are many tests where iphone wins over android..
watch this

iphone still has a gud performace than s8..
and as u said, no comparison b/w ios vs android..

If Apple can give me all those in one good package, I will gladly switch.
[deleted post]again..i see ur too much hurt with this geekbench score hahahahahahaha.. y not just ignore this post man.. u guys compare ios vs android..then its ok..but when apple relases a new cpu with outstanding score..u guys starts saying bu***t things.. clearly appears that ur literally hurt too much with this geekbench score ;-) chill out.. i never buy apple products..i dont think they are for me.. am an android guy..but not fanboy like u..
AnonD-126753, 16 Jun 2017being an android user.. i feel kinda confusing about u guys.. when android performs gud..u guy... morethats how human works ... we live to hate each other for small matter

lots of hate for apple here... there cpu has dusted away all android cpu's... and i can see hurtful feelings of some android fanboys..and btw... am an android user too..using note 4 :-P.... but i think apple has done a great job with their cpu performance.. man that score is overkill..nobody aint gonna use that much power.. it looks like a laptop geekbench score ;-) ... and y do android fanboys comment lots of hate i dont understand.. if they dont like it, just ignore it..simple as that... these r just phones and tablets..nothing else... grow up guys...so what if apple restricts their ios software.. u aint gonna buy it either way.. y hate then..
Anonymous, 16 Jun 2017best cpu out there in tablet department.
but it runs on a functionally challenged stone-age OS.Yeah, whats the point of the power? When the OS is limiting?
Cannot use mouse.
Gorllia hand touch with smart keyboard.
Pencil that appeal to drawing only.
Can't even support two VPN connection concurrently.
Kunky multitask
Plus the accessories it price rival even full class desktop OS.
Apple need to man up! Create iPad only OS, else this one is the same as the picture of the gorllia, strong but DUMB.

MrElectrifyer, 15 Jun 2017Don't get too excited about these benchmark results. This is merely a fraction of the performa... moreHmmm, yeah I knew the A9X was powerful BUT exaggerated.
I was the naysayer, who said the Core M's would be faster. I just believed the A10X was a good deal faster than the A9X... so it bridged the performance gap from the A9X to the Core M and Core U's. I forgot the discrepancy between the GB3 and GB4 figures.
However I just did a little digging around (figures rounded for convenience):
Geekbench 3
A9X = 3,100 single-core / 5,200 multi-core
A10X = N/A (hypo: 4,000 / 9,800)
M5-Y71 = 2,800 / 4,900
i-6300U = 3,200 / 6,700
Geekbench 4
A9X = 3,000 / 5,000
A10X = 3,900 / 9,400
M5-Y71 = 2,700 / 4,600
i-6300U = 3,500 / 6,800

J o m s, 15 Jun 2017Only an iDi*t will believe than Apple SoC is better than latest AMD or Intel processor. Geekbe... moreThey're pretty much the same (Windows and Linux runs).
You probably confuse it with graphics benchs where the slightest variation in drivers' quality changes the result(s).
Geekbench is being used by many acclaimed organizations (even NASA lately) because it fixes its issues and runs very basic and to the point tests.
It's inaccuracy only comes from the fact that it cannot all aspects of a CPU (lest it would last an eon) thus over represents others. Then again its workloads are probably the most used giving an overall accurate view for most use cases.
Still it would fall short for specified uses of processors and of course it will fall short in showing the exact relation between processors of different arch. But the general picture it draws is pretty accurate. There is a great majority of tasks that A10x does match x86 processors, that's just a fact of the nature of the calculations that geekbnech runs, many of them are also run by many of the popular software
So if Geekbench shows "you" to be matching a processor, you're secure to this k that none of the two will fall too short of the other in any task relevant to most users.
So there is a point on saying that iPads finally matched PC performance in most of everything (apart from maybe gaming) and that *is* a significant development and probably a momentum changer...
As bad is it to over read benchmarks , it's equally bad to under read them...
Its Over 9000 :O
Are you jealous?
AnonD-39937, 15 Jun 2017What are you saying? Apple A10X Fusion is already as fast as 15W Kaby Lake laptop CPUs, like I... moreAnd probably very close to that 15W consumption too!
Last year's mobile SoCs can consume around 4-5W using all cores...
And 4-7W just for the GPU at max.

No you cannot even directly compare Linux or Windows result.
