One wonders if it wasn't Kapersky that created the viruses in the first place, or even Apple? Any means necessary to slow down the Android onslaught. Just a thought.

i believe that, all viruses and malwares installed onto PC's/cellphones, are the results of mal-practiced ignorant users themselves.

Worst case scenario you have to re-flash your phone, plug SD card back in, run Titan Backup, all back to normal within 10m...

Haha.....I was planning to go for an new phone like around 6months. But I found that, this is not good time for the new mobile. There are lot of models, new tech and Al coming to the market but the Errors, problems will come out little later only. I'm very happy that I'm a nokia fan. I'm happy with my N82 and I will be going for N8 soon..... Nokia rocks all the time.

It's not like your Symbian doesn't have malwares of their own so don't talk like Android is the only mobile platform with malwares.

Symbian still have way more malicious malwares on them and some of which spreads through MMS.

Don't worry, Symbian will soon be rid of malwares when the platform itself finally dies. RIP Symbian

i believe that number of viruses for a platform is directly proportional to the its success.
symbian had viruses from 2005 to present date (hundreds of em), many iOS viruses affect jailbroken i-devices, windows mobile had few viruss, windows desktop OS has more than 2 million different types of viruses, and now android.

Another reason why I laugh at Nokia fans jumping ship to Android. It's the most overrated OS to ever hit the mobile market. Android has too many problems from battery life, terrible hardware brands, and now this?!?! No Android for me.

Damn! This is really annoying!! I think that Nokia made the best decision to choose WP7 instead of Android! I think that Android will be too dangerous. :( This is really sad. There are problems with the spy-ware as well!

And this is why Android sucks! I'm glad Nokia didn't choose Android but the sgs2 looks so good though. It will still be my next phone.

I know I sound confused. XD

Just like any computer really. Even Apple is not immune to this with third party app stores. How much malware/spyware is trying to invade your computer right now? Just make sure you do your research before you add something and are using one of the certified android security apps like Lookout (the one I use). I have no issues as of yet.

Now Android has a lot of enemies in the market. It is like one against all. It is obvious someone trying to point that it has malware flaws, it has security flaws, Blah Blah Balh. It knows what it has, It does what it should. Android will eat all apples, blackberries and throw windows in bins. :P

just like the windows vs mac virus debate the reason most viruses are written for windows rather ios is not a matter of security merely a matter of how prevalent the operating system environment is. Android is going to pick up more malware just because it is a more open and popular format, after wh bother write malware for a closed environment.
apple does that already its called itunes

                                        1) Such amount of malware just proves that Android is popular OS.
                                        2) I believe that this report is true, but it is also a good situation promoting Kaspersky AV.
