It is more expensive than before but the good news is that the OnePlus 5 has some of the best possible specs and still offers bang for buck.
True it doesn't have a MicroSD card slot like it's predecessors but at least the headphone jack lives on (unlike the Xiaomi Mi 6, iPhone 7 & HTC U11)!
No waterproofing? No stereo speakers? No 3D Touch? Same low resolution AMOLED that's below 300dpi?
Seems like they didn't even finish copying Apple's 2016 flagship let alone 2017 flagship.
2012: "Thank goodness it still has a physical keyboard"
2013: "Thank goodness it still has a removable battery"
2014: "Thank goodness it still has a infra-red blaster"
2015: "Thank goodness it still has an SD card slot"
2016: "Thank goodness it still has an all-metal build"
2017: "Thank goodness it still has a 3.5mm headphone jack"
2018: "Thank goodness it still has a fingerprint scanner"
2019: "Thank goodness it still has a charging port"
2020: "Thank goodness it still has a physical volume rocker"
2892: "Thank goodness it teleports me to the correct Martian human colony"
Too expensive....they started with phone cost 249$, and now is 500£...oneplus- you are too greedy. Better goes with S7 edge or s8+: waterproof, sd card, bigger battery, better resolution, better display...bye-bye oneplus!
Holy Bezels. OnePlus what are you doing? Moving backwards in time? What some of that Sony vibe?
That price. Can't believe it. Where's the trap? Do they hide nuclear waste in their devices? But it still lacks things like waterproofing and much more
Aside from the snapdragon 835, I don't really see much changes. The dual camera at the back is cool but this doesn't look or sound to me like a flagship killer, go back to the drawing board 1+, we need ip68 on oneplus 5T that's if there Wud be anything like that.
1080 Pentile displays, wow. I hope this product fails for One Plus.
jerry, 20 Jun 2017Why the hell is it more expensive in Europe? The prices in USA are without VAT rate depending on the state you need to add between 4 and 12% VAT to obtain the final price.
Same price as lg g6 in india... no waterproof or durability.. no hdr or 18:9 ratio. No audio enhancements....just better cam and ram &processor... waiting for cam samples to decide.. wish hifi audio was added..
AnonD-152758, 20 Jun 2017Why is it cheaper in USA? Keep in mind that US prices usually don't include sales tax (as it varies by state).
Damn gsm arena guys must have a time machine to do a review this fast. Lol...
I'm bummed. I thought OnePlus would use the momentum to propel them onto great things. Instead, it seems like they are coasting off the success of the 3/3T. No innovation. No water proofing? And a price increase to boot. This is no flagship killing company.
I'm really glad I didn't wait to buy my phone until this one was released..
mmj321, 20 Jun 2017Those bezels :| I'll only consider this for the camera otherwise I'm happy with my s7 edgeCamera on S7 Edge is brilliant. The selective focus mode generates Portraits better than any other phone in the market. Don't downgrade to OP
Linus has already posted a review of the phone. here is a link to video:
